I have those chalk markers and I love them too! Nice decorations and sewing table! I made a Blazer that turned out too big in shoulders and small in the waste so I trashed it after trying to fix it but the fabric picked so bad it wasn't worth it.😂 I made it again making adjustments, and it turned out great! Deb, I so understand when you said life gets in the way. It’s so true. I know I stepped away for a while. I had no choice. But I must say everything looks so beautiful in your home girlfriend you did more decorating than I did. I walked upstairs where I have all my holiday decorations. I looked at the mall and I said not this year. lol so I was very limited and what I did . And by the way, I think that was an adorable sewing basket that you made I give you credit. My entire life I have gotten really bluesy at holiday time....I don't know why, but I struggle with this. I already have my 2024 calendar, and I am ready for a new year, too. Hi Grace! It turned out to be so very convenient to just slide a fully-decorated tree in front of the living room window and plug it in. We didn't even mind seeing it every once in a while out in that area even though I had a long linen tablecloth ready to cover it up if we needed to. For the past few years, we've put out fewer and fewer Christmas decorations but we still have enough to help us celebrate the season. We don't put decorations outside in the front yard anymore but have several lighted decorations that face the front area, if you know what I mean. We thoroughly love and enjoy every aspect of this blessed holiday season. Happy Sewing!

HI LIsa Ann! Sure, I remember you very well!! So good to hear from you! William loves all of the lighted decorations around the house. He absolutely insists that his little village scene is set out first each Christmas season; then the Christmas tree (which was left up from last year anyway); and he wanted to add his vintage car Christmas tree to the decoration list this year. It was in his den but he said that it needed to go public this year. And now he has a new decoration to add to his priority list -- his merry-go-round with Santa and all the reindeer. What can I say? We're like 2 little kids around this time of the year with all the love around; the religious aspect of the season; the joy of the season; just everything. I'm noting down the jacket pattern number. It looks like a really nice one! And I LOVE your fabric basket! So cute! I crocheted a bunch of baskets with scrap yarn last winter while here at our cabin. They've been handy for bits and bobs. That was such a great idea getting the binding changed on your book. I had no idea you could even do that! Bella is so cute! Gracie, my crazy cat does the same thing with boxes. She sits inside and rips little bits off. It looks like cardboard confetti after a few sessions. lol! I'm looking forward to Christmas. I'll be leaving Trev and our husky, Sweetie, at the cabin and heading to my Mom's. I get to spend it with her , 2 of my kids and 4 of my grandkids. Loved you decor!

You can get just about any book spiral bound like that. Places like Staples, Office Max, etc -- the stores that have a print shop -- usually can do it. It is so well-worth the money. I did the same thing to a piano music book I had and it works so much better now to have the book open at the keyboard. I am going to persevere with that jacket! It looks like a very comfortable, lightweight jacket which would be perfect here in Florida. I WILL be finishing it! :) Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

I always want it to be perfect. 😂😂.Since RVing full time, we don't decorate much. Since we aren't at the cabin, that isn't getting decorated either. Bill and I celebrate our anniversary in December too. We always go to Fredericksburg for our anniversary trip. We are going to do that this year too, but we may do something different next year. Hi there! Yes, we're really in the spirit of the season around here. Our anniversary is on the 20th. William cannot travel for very long and very far so we're heading over to the Tampa area for a few days of "play" at the HardRock casino. William loves to play the slot machines and he usually does pretty good. Or, at least, he breaks even. It's all about having fun with it and he enjoys it. So! Bella will be staying with a pet-sitter (and, hopefully, will behave there) and we're getting away for a couple of days. Enjoy the holiday season whatever you do!

We still keep doing as much as we can but just don't have the stamina that we used to have. That's just the way it is. Decorating for the holidays takes time for us to do but we really do love it. Hi Carole! It feels so good to be sharing with everyone again. We really do like the snow globes and have them lit up and "snowing" every night now. And, yes, we thoroughly enjoy the colored lights at Christmas time. Here in Florida it seems that most people hang up white lights. I think that maybe the white lights must remind them of snow. (?) We find the colored lights to be so warming and so cheery. In past years, we even decorated the front of the house but didn't do that this year. And we usually have more lights around the house inside but William wouldn't let me get up on a ladder to hang them this year. I guess age is beginning to limit us a bit in every way. Ah well...It is what it is... Have a great week-end!

Hi Christine! The official "lighting" of our Christmas tree takes place on Thanksgiving night, too. I am so glad that we left it up all ready to go from last year. Sure saved a lot of time. That little fabric basket was done in a class and, yes, it had written instructions on how to do it. You could make either a small, medium or large version; of course, I went big! LOLOLOL... We just decided that we are going to celebrate our anniversary at the HardRock Casino in Tampa. William can't travel too far or for too long but he loves those slot machines so we're going to head there since it's a short drive away from home. Hopefully, the New Year will go much more smoothly for you guys. It's one thing to deal with the stress of family health issues BUT to also go through the stress of a shooter/killer in the area really pushes the limit. Have a happy holiday season!!

I'm not sure how long I will be there when she moves. I plan to help move computer stuff that she doesn't want in moving van. I'm not sure what area of Orlando. The address is on Cabbage Loop, Orlando. If possible it would be great to meet up. If not this time another time when I come down to visit her. @@DebsWay

Is that Cabbage Tree Loop by any chance? If so, that's East of downtown Orlando. I live East of Orlando near the UCF campus. If you should make your way to The Sewing Studio, I will be there several times during the month for sewing classes during the day and then one sewing session in the evening when a group of us are getting together to sew up pet beds for an animal shelter that one of the teachers volunteers at. Just lettting you know...
