My mom was raised in rural Oklahoma in the 40's and 50's and your recipe for okra is exactly the same as hers. Looks delicious cooked on the griddle........makes me hungry for some!

To me it's nothing like zucchini. It kind of has a slimy texture if not really fried good. Some people eat it boiled or pickled

I really can't describe the taste. A lot of people eat it boiled or pickled. i do not because it does have a slimy texture. That's why I like to fry it crispy. I hope you are doing better. Hugs

It really has a taste on it's own and hard to find here. Only fresh during the summer, and frozen isn't all that good. Love and hugs
