Sounds really good. So good that I also wish Friedman would do pedals like these based on other boutique companies amps in the Vox & Fender lineage (Morgan, Matchless etc...). Friedman have really nailed it with the Marshall-Friedman lineage, especially with this one. I think the cleans sound really nice. They remind me of my JTM, which has my favourite Marshall clean-ish tones. But the bass is a bit tighter/cleaner here, but still with that nice slight saturation in the treble. Sounded awesome into the real Bassman amp. I'm thinking this could sound super using either the more vintage power amp of a JTM, or the more modern clean muscular high headroom Victory V40.

To record in a home studio, just connect friedman to the audio interface? or do I need noisegate?

Raw tones from plexi to modded 800s, more in line with the Jake E. Lee and Phil X heads. Best Friedman module so far for my taste. Hopefully he releases this as a Synergy module. Would be interesting if Bogner would do a Fish or Helios module.

@ Not sure. On his latest rig rundown he pulled the Bogner preamps out. But hey, everyone likes making money

@@lostinpa-dadenduro7555 agree. He did say in the rig rundown he loves the friedman and bogner stuff. I mean, they still sell the JJ right? Maybe they will. I saw that new Soldano Super SLO pedal today. Wish that was more designed like the Friedman IR pedals. That would be a no brainer for me.

Curious as to how noisy this unit & the other IR models are. Would love to replace my digital modeler & return to analog *tube* goodness, but if it's too noisy even with moderate gain that may be a deal breaker. It certainly sounds fantastic.
