“No conozco mejor propósito en la vida que perecer en el intento de lo grande e imposible. El hecho de que algo parezca imposible no debería ser una razón para no perseguirlo. Eso es exactamente lo que hace que valga la pena seguirlo. ¿Dónde estaría el coraje y la grandeza si el éxito fuera seguro y no hubiera riesgo? El único verdadero fracaso es alejarse de los desafíos de la vida.” Nietzsche.

Not a fan of these philosophical quotes usually but MAN this one hit home and made sense. Maybe I need to go back and read more of Nietzsche with an open mind. Anyone got any recommendations for me on the front

You wont understand a word of from his books, read a book that talks about Nietzsche in general, Id reccomend you Paul Katsafanas' book The Nietzschean self. Its a study of Nietzsche's philosophy basically.

Then after reading that book to get general knowledge you can start reading his original works Beyond good and evil, The antichrist, on the genealogy of morals, thus spoke zarathustra and so on

Here's what i said to Hitler:" Adolf, I'm old, but I'll tell you the same i Said to Friedrich: if you intend to win this war, heed to my advice: when you're winning, you're not as losing as when you are not winning. And when you're not winning you're not as winning as when you're losing. Therefore, if you intend to win, you mustn't lose!!!" He kept on winning only as long as he was adhering to that advice!

@@chessphilosophy433Nietzschen philosophy was taken, misinterpreted and warped by Hitler/The Nazi party and others. The idea of the *Übermensch* spread loudly and caused more harmful ideology to form than Nietzsche intended when he wrote "Thus Spoke Zarathustra". ...that'd be my guess..
@chessphilosophy433

@@_cloudface_ well that I am aware of. Thank you for weighing in though but I meant about perishing alone, like for an individual attempting to live through the model of the Ubermensch, I thought that’s what it was about.

@@_cloudface_they took it to mean it in literal sense. I wonder how it disregards his work though? Negro is the word that means black. The word itself is innocuous. It was used by the wrong people in the wrong manner, that doesn't make the word bad.
