That bit about commitment is so important. If you're feeling that you might halfheartedly go about something, don't even do it. Unless you just want to "dip your toes in the water", if you wake up and thing "eh, I might do it today", you're going to give up faster than expected, and waste all your time. It's okay to not want to do everything possible, and it's okay to want to try new things. But in the long term, be sure you'll do it, or don't do it at all.

This is so true though. If I were a personal trainer, the first week I'd just tell them to go to the gym and just sit there. Just show up. Make every session feel easy. And even with improvement, up the intensity to a stage where it still feels easy. I feel like too many times people want to go hard, but then they burn out just as quick. You just need to get lost in the process, just show up rain or shine, dont look at the destination. You'll get there naturally without even realising it. P.s. i only read the first few chapters of the manga but isn't friend a bad thing
