Chris, that's not food that they served you. That was love. Pure selfless love. Those kids trying to make you feel home, Grandma bringing her homemade sweet and papad for you, that man welcoming you to his home for lemonade, packing you sweets for travel, and that lady asking you, if you're good with spicy food and bringing those mini pizzas super quick. And all of that with excitement and a happy smile on their face. Food in the form of love and blessings

There is something about the long standing traditions of Marwari/Jain families whichever part of the world they live in. Their business values and simple life style are ingrained from childhood for most of them. They are known for their business acumen because they settled in the NW region which is like the gateway to India on the trade routes. Not sure if Marwari and Jains consider themselves Aryan or Native because their leader Mahavira does not seem to have the angular features typical of Aryans.

Firstly, I hope you have got well if not, get well soon. Secondly, it's not like Indian couples don't fight but their fights rarely turn into divorce because they love their children more than their relationship. They learn to live together in spite of differences. 1 of 1000 turns into divorce but it's very rare. One who has been brought up in the Indian environment you learn the values and importance of familial relationships, that's why you don't leave your family alone at any cost.

Such a lovely family- genuinely friendly and kind, gentle, warm, welcoming, and sublimely hospitable. The family epitomizes the spirit of the Marwari Jains of Rajasthan who have been living in Nepal for hundreds of years, and are renowned for their great work ethos, tremendous business acumen, hospitality, philanthropy and their immense morality and ethical creed of ‘Ahimsa’ or non-violence. All Nepalis should treat the Nepali Marwaris with love and gratitude for their immense contribution to Nepal for hundreds of years. Let’s not forget that the ancestors of quite a large percentage of Nepalis originally came from Rajasthan as well. Although I have been living abroad for many decades this video brought back fond memories of my best friend Chainrup Pothra Jain, a Rajasthani Marwari, while growing up in a wonderful town in Eastern Nepal. All the best to this awesome Jain family from Kathmandu and kudos to Chris as well for shedding light on this wonderful family.

Wow, what a sweet and lovely family, they took high pride in their traditions and food and they tried their best to make you feel cozy and at home..they made sure that you don't feel alienated and kept the conversation going on, they tried their best to make the conversation engaging and insightful, left no stones unturned in serving you and treating you with utmost love and respect....im sure you must feel amazing in their vicinity...the kids were so eloquent and well behaved too, they were so proud to unveil their drawings before you, what a awesome and fantastic union, Im not sure have I seen such a caring and hospitable family before,

Believe me i experienced this , when i was a child i went rajeshthan with my parents for khatu shyam ji darshan and in our group one uncle is from marwadi community, he took us to his sisters house and they treated us with so much respect and food.. as one dish is finished another is ready to be served 😁😁... if you wanted to eat variety of food must visit a marwadi house.. ❤️

When I started watching this video, I had a feeling that this family is Terapanthi Jain. Lord Mahavira photo was there and I was looking for Acharya Bhikshu. Finally the kid shown his drawings of Acharya Bhikshu. Marwari people love Khichiya (Papad), Barfi, Satu wow.... Great to see Terapanthi Jain family . Chris is so humble and people love him so much.
