As mentioned by other reviewers, this tutorial is top notch in presentaion and detail. For example, just a simple detail like where to enter a space when typing in the PowerShell box is covered. I previously tried other youtube and online tutorials and ended up corrupting my existing iTunes backups simply because no one else mentioned where to type a space! Hello, Real person here, It always astounds me how the indian dudes on youtube will give you a clearer and more definitive method of doing things that actually works. I've wanted to do this for years and all the other vides have been a load of BS, and never worked which discouraged me and I never got it done. I hope whoever sees this also has it work for them. I made sure to delete the old files, have itunes make a new backup just to make sure everything was exactly the same as it appears in the video, and this time, I was successful. Thank you!!!!!! I’m getting a new iPhone today, but I have voicemails from both my parents that I’ve saved to voice memos so I can save them since they’ve both passed away in the last three years. I bought a new computer and external hard drive so I can make sure they are saved since I’ll never get to hear their voices again without those memos. Hi, I have used this method to backup my iPhone to iTunes, where I am using an external HDD hard disk. However, when I click the properties of the folder, it does not reflect the space that my iPhone is currently showing For instance, the iPhone storage is 52.75GB used out of 64GB, while the folder in my external hard disk which was backup from iPhone shows only 19.97GB. iPhone space and backup space is different. Backup will not store actual app (like say 50mb) It’ll store the data inside app (like say 2GB) That is why iPhone storage and backup size is always different

[Update] 🔴 Guys, I see people facing issues while restoring iPhone after backing up using this method. Please don't save your iPhone backups on external hard drive, if it is not that necessary. And remove this link and save iPhone backup on C drive (default) before you restore it to your iPhone. Avoid restoring directly from Had Disk. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Better to keep the data on default location i.e. on C drive during restoring it to iPhone, coz many people face issue while restoring it from Hard Disk 👍🏼 And there is no way to check if the backup is corrupted until you try to restore it

Hi thank you for posting these very well produced instruction videos! I'm new to the Apple ecosystem. During the process of moving/transfering my photos and vidoes from Google Drive to iCloud Photos I got an error saying my hard drive was full. I used your videos for moving/remapping the iCloud Drive as well as iTunes. Thank you! My question is how do I do the same for iPhotos? Cannot create a file when that file already exists. PS F:\New Itunes backup> Im getting this Error please help

Delete the BACKUP folder if already there on the path and retry

This video is great and very easy to understand. I have a problem though. I do everything you did in the video including the new iTunes backup location with PowerShell. It even shows the little arrow on the file after I do it. When I go into iTunes and try to backup my phone, it still says no space. The disk I'm trying to save it on has 255gb while my phone has 128gb. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Vikas, using your instructions (which are super-clear btw), I created a link to my backup folder within Mobile Sync. I did this last year. Now, I forgot which folder did I create a link to. Can you please let me know how to find out the linked folder? I should have made a note of this last year. Thanks for your help
