Bro you saved me from having a major brain overload; I was frustrated not being able to restore a recent back. But I found out that the back locations will only be detected depending if you installed iTunes from the Microsoft store or form apple directly. I didn't realize that there was much of a difference when I uninstalled the Microsoft version and installed the Apple version. Spend 4 hours trying numerous method, until I stumbled across your video. Again thank you so much

iTunes will backup the data inside the app and not actual apps. This saves a lot of data. Also, it does not store your music. That too saves data. That is the reason backup size is always less than iPhone storage size. I hope you've selected ENCRYPTED backup option. I have backup of 50GB for iPhone of 256 GB. 😊

Encrypting with iTunes on your PC is most secure but you need to remember the encryption password, else you'll loose all your data. Backing up to iCloud is equally secure and you don't need to remember any backup password, but costs money. I use both methods. 👍🏼

It completes the process for more than an hour, but doesn’t actually restore my phone, why the heck is that? & there’s only a message on my phone that says enter password whenever the phone is restarted, there’s always an error to cross out, then a syncing message & it’s like nothing happened, I wasted a couple of hours with this shit! You need wifi during restoring process, not during back up. Now amount of data you need depends on the apps on your iPhone, files on iCloud. So when you're restoring iPhone, better is to have unlimited wifi connection.

Yes, you can backup and restore data on the same iPhone using this video. It will work. You can continue backing up iPhone every month but it'll replace the old backup with new one. You need to manually move backup folder to external hard drive to have separate backup for each month. First you need to select ENCRYPTED BACKUP option in iTunes. This will backup and restore WhatsApp chats and photos. Regarding in-app files from other apps is little tricky. I faced issues recovering files from DOCUMENTS app. So better to transfer such data to PC and then transfer manually after restore. to avoid any risk.

Keep it connected to PC, dont disconnect until it is complete. Just connect iPhone to PC and hit Restore Backup option

I try to backup on pc but at the end of backup time. It just showing backing up. My data is 70gb and it take more than 2 hrs for backup. Pls suggest

Ensure you have sufficient space o C drive for backup. Ensure softwares are up-to date. Restart your PC.
