The birds are much louder when you went, we were there in September and it was really empty in the wild. That must’ve been a huge pike that got away!

I have been wondering to this day what fish that was, but you are right it must have been huge! I recognize what you say about the birds. We have also done the Svartälven in October once and then it's a completely different environment. Still, every month of the year has its beauty! I am sure you guys hardly saw any other paddlers in September and had the whole river to yourself!
