I think your efforts and insights and recommendations are excellent. But what I hear from young people, including my own sons, why do we care? The US is self-sufficient, why invest money on these foreign adventures? We don't need these other countries. I am appalled by these views, having devoted my career to international engagement. But, I think supporters of Ukraine and the broader global issues at stake need much more exposure; arguments that may seem obvious to us of an older generation are unknown to the younger. They need clear explanations of what is at stake and why, and it needs to be explained in detail and repeated over and over. Those of us already convinced discuss strategies and policies, etc., but there is a much more fundamental disconnect that we don't adequately address.
