it's actually very common with people who had traumatic childhoods, they tend to always be humorous or have a dry sense of humour. it's becuase they want to leave all the trauma in the past and live the joys of life, while i found that people with comfortable childhoods usually tend to be more self centered and constantly complain about everything (for example Ross, even though i love him). it's not always the case tho!
