I love Phoebe and Joey debating over whether a truly selfless good deed exists. It's one of the few times where Joey was shown to be articulate and philosophical, though sadly, his stupidity was later exaggerated.

Absolutely fantastic season. Ross and Emily get married and divorced, everyone finds out about Chandler and Monica, they move in together, then Rachel and Phoebe do. Plus, Ross briefly moves in with Chandler and Ross and Ross and Rachel get married in Vegas!! What a whirlwind of a season!!

Actually, there are two selfless deeds that I saw in series: 1st when Ross got Phoebe the bicycle because she didn’t got one growing up. 2nd when Joey gave up eating meat when Phoebe was pregnant and craving meat.
