Cox was offered to play Rachel due to her good looks as they initially thought she would suit for that role as Rachel was the 'fashion crazed ' character, but Courteney believed she could relate more to Monica, which prompted her and Aniston to switch the roles.

​@@srldwgOCD manifests in many ways- it isn't always a 'serious mental illness.' Nobody came out and said it but I'd tend to agree Monica did have a form of OCD, especially knowing she vacuums her vacuum cleaner with a smaller one. She would clean in situations where there was no need. I've got OCD myself and it's mild enough to keep under control because of medication luckily. Another guy with it that I know has absolutely destroyed his hands due to how much hot water and bleach he uses to clean them with, medication doesn't help him.

I liked how Monica showed Phoebe and Rachel a page from a catalogue of a wedding dress that she is looking for and making them memorise it outside the bridal store. I loved how she gave them a whistle till they find the wedding dress she were looking for and making them leave with the dress she wanted with a bride to be she met at the other bridal store.

Oh that's a nice little detail, at 12:25 the book Monica is reading is titled "Like a Hole in the Head" and the scene has to do with her putting holes in the wall, and Rachel's comment about the wires coming loose in her head, nice touch.

Monica was like that becoz of her childhood issues with her mom. Her mom never treated her right and always thought she was good for nothing. That's why she made sure that whatever she does should be perfect always.. Childhood traumas really haunt you forever 😢

Monica is my least favorite character on Friends. Yes, in the first few seasons she was controlling and excessively organised but as the seasons progressed her neuroticism became her whole personality, especially after Mondler. My unpopular opinion is that Mondler wasn't a good thing. It made Monica more selfish and less caring about the other Friends. Yes, there ought to be boundaries once you get into a serious relationship, but towards the end Monica even went as far to say that money mattered more to her than friends. In the later seasons her character was extremely annoying as she kept doing childish stuff and Chandler kept being an understanding husband. Let's face it, we could never stand a Monica irl. 😭
