If you guys ever struggle with the loss of a narcissistic friend, just remember that they probably dont have enough insight to realise that they are in the wrong. They will keep doing people wrong. It’s a good trait to have insight and to know yourself. They wont understand that.

Madeline...I feel like that message you wrote actually literally sounded so so mature for a 19-year-old who was hurt in the moment. Like. Girl. 😭 You seemed to have had such a good understanding of the fact of what you felt you needed at the time. Like, you didn't just react. You communicated. And that was mature, even if you were wounded.

i’m 25 and the message to your friend was honestly pretty much what i would say to a friend right now if i were to go through a “friendship breakup”, simply because i need to vent and find some closure or atleast try to make sense of the situation before just moving on, especially when you care so much about them. i don’t know exactly what happened between you two but i thought that was a good message from someone who cared about a friend

I really appreciate your authenticity. I went through a situationship that resulted in needing to cut people off. I realized that I was on the outside of a friendship circle and they spent a lot of time talking about the situationship together and then be passive aggressive towards me. It still makes me upset thinking that they never bothered reaching out to me and ask for my side of the experience. I reached out to them and they never responded. Makes me think that empathy is the rarest thing in the world.

I have never related to anything more deeply. Thank you so much for this episode. The way you describe the selfless love and specialness of friendship is so beautiful. I feel like so much of the world is convinced that romantic love is all that matters, but in my experience the deepest and truest loves I have ever experienced were platonic. Which means they have also been the most painful of losses. I truly appreciate coming across your video today ❤️

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet’s enduring friendship serves as a remarkable testament to the strength of platonic bonds, which can often surpass the intensity of romantic relationships. Despite both having navigated various romantic partnerships over the years, their connection, forged during their time on Titanic in 1997, has remained unshakable. Their mutual respect, loyalty, and genuine affection exemplify the unique depth of true friendship, highlighting how such bonds can offer enduring support and constancy, sometimes surpassing even the closest romantic ties.

I am going through a friend breakup. Amidst going through this one I ended up going through a second one and they both cut incredibly deep for me. The feelings that these instances have left me with have been pretty intense. I've been able to deal with emotions in a better way and healthy manner but also I didn't really know where to go nor who to even talk to about these feelings. Just listening to you rant about your experience just made me feel so much better and at peace with it all because you said all of the same things I have been feeling and trying to get literally anyone that would listen to understand. I didn't need advice I just needed someone to listen and you just also "get it". This helped 🙏🏽 Thank you

Absolutely feels like an alternate timeline. Wow ‘missing us in the old timeline’ 🤯 thats actually quite beautiful . Omg I also had a friendship break up when I left school in 2020! I was the one who ghosted the other, retrospectively it was kinda necessary for my growth bc I tend to cling to loud, strong people who seem overly confident (which attracts me to them in the first place) but then it alwayssss becomes clear that they’re deeply insecure and just overplaying that by being the loudest and funniest and most outgoing. Like I know we were kids but that was kind of abusive at times and I was also dependant on them at that time, hence why the break up was probably healthy and also kinda inevitable in the long run. I just sometimes think of them and the people pleaser in me wants to explain myself and have closure, but I think it’s too late for that and they probably wouldn’t get my point either, because they most likely haven’t really changed and I feel like I did a lot. But I also caught myself thinking I’m probably never going to love as deeply again lol. Anyways. Now I’ve learned (at least I’m trying) to not always go for the first, most outgoing, charismatic person in a social setting and cling to them. Never ends well.
