The invisible problem you're not seeing is how society has twisted expectations for what women should be doing at certain ages. Women flower between 18-25 and that is their best time to secure a committment from a high value man. A man's peak value occurs between about 35-40. By waiting until after 25 a woman is blundering. A man impatiently committing too early is also blundering. Society has fucked us up into not realizing the ideal pairings are between a 23 year old woman and 38 year old man. Pursuing fun or a career in your 20s is the worst thing you can do as a woman. Society will self-correct eventually, but we are in the midst of backwards thinking due to social trends overcompensating for certain perceived abuses perpetrated during previous social norms, effective though they may have been, overall. Your analysis for finding a life first and then someone who fits into it would be correct for ship captains, generally men. But passengers, beautiful women especially, generally have their pick of the most impressive and attractive ships. She can walk the decks and pick her captain, but only while still in flower. After 25 your options start plummeting. Don't mean to be critical by any of this, but I hope it helps. I agree a person's life is her own, but if this person is experiencing loneliness and trying to dismiss it as healthy and okay, they are merely suffering from the lies of this age and the accompanying ick factor that comes with even considering conducting one's life in a manner resembling times of old. That's why you can't stand 30 year olds (don't worry, I'm 40). You've been intensely conditioned by the present age to revolt against what women did in the past.
