As someone who cosplays/sews her own cosplays, knows how to video edit, and knows how to do motion graphics in after effects. The amount of work you put in a single video outside of the fact that you’re making a crazy detailed and amazing cosplay is ABSOLUTELY INSANE AND VERY APPRECIATED. I'm also a visual learner so the motion graphics are beautifully done. You deserve more subscribers!!

The issue is that school teachers and instructors all work on time and that only do a progress of learning anything on a actually smart brain people who could go to way better and higher ranked schools but due to schools being way to full they end up in a sewing school for people who actually don't have a high smart brain its gonna be way harder to learn from school anything actually because they can't learn with school speed and due to school teachers needing to move from 1 program to another in actually already a week in sewing school but you still did not learn properly seaming it even gets embarrassing and than you can't keep on going to that school even because that's how I felt at least when I went to that school

@@CrazyPotato_Eve How you get sewing experience is to sew something simple. A pillowcase, for example. Then move on to the multi-layer, complex cosplay. 😉Well, there might be a few steps in between.😁 I knew someone who built up sewing experience by sewing doll's dresses and clothes, because they took so little fabric. I know for myself that it is very satisfying to complete a pretty dress for a stuffed rabbit using just inches of very expensive cloth.

You make sewing seem like an actual reachable goal for me And that's saying a lot as I beat myself up on stuff I felt like I could "never do" before because people would laugh at my dreams..... But after kicking those people out my life I think I'm going to make a sort of dream board for goals And it's going to be all cosplay related. Like 1) learn to sew 2) style a wig 3) make a jacket 4) make or style thrifted shoes 5) learn cosplay makeup Etc etc Watching your videos seems so realistic in the sense if you were a teacher you'd probably be a little awkward around the edges (aren't we all) but everyone's favorite teacher to get after class time with to be tutored and mentored because your advice is actually helpful and if we fail then whatever, just roll with the punches and learn from it which is the attitude I should have rather than letting it deter me from said goals

as a teen, i tried to make my own cosplays. i had BIG plans but i was never able to finish any for myself. i always got stuck and never able to finish in time while also helping my friends for years in a row. because of that, i got so burnt out of cosplaying and cosplay making for years. watching u document ur progress though, u trying and succeeding in some and failing in others then showing how u fixed it or just coming to terms with it not being the best, but its fine? its lighting the spark back in me. the hidden pocket part got me so excited actually like my god what a GENIUS MOVE! I HATE having to lug around a bag just for my phone and wallet. i have a lot to learn, but this is reminding me of the passion i had and the things i wanted to create. so thank you so so much for recording these cosplay progress videos and uploading them!!

For future reference, a trick Ive seen from old Dior gowns is that skirts and petticoats were sewn on yokes before it was attached to the waistband to minimize bulk because of pleats and gathers and when the dress or skirt closes with a zipper, only the exterior is sew while the under layers have the opening sewn with bias tape or ribbon then using thread bars (I think thats what its called) to the zipper at the bottom of the zipper to keep it secure while keeping the movement. When I was working with Eclipsa Butterfly, my design had a built in organza petticoat that had a yoke for the inside and it was only tacked to the side seams of the outer skirt waistband which was closed with a series of hooks and eyes and bars and the petticoats closed with hooks and bars which is super heavy and hard to store because its so thick and it gets its own storage box because the petticoat is built in. The skirt I made is basically an 1880s bustle dress so it had an underskirt and an over skirt which has been attached to one side seam with the over skirt being hooked on the waistband with a plethora of hooks and bars to hide the closures and the gaping back opening since I didnt use a zipper at all. Does that make sense? It made sense to me when I made it and tried explaining it.

You dancing around in the finished skirt at the end made me laugh so hard. Also, that sneakily hidden pocket was such a good idea. I love how it turned out, even with the satin issue. With the sheer amount of detail and materials required, having that turn out a bit off isn't a big deal, and to most people, it isn't even going to be all that noticeable. I'm learning machine sewing on a couple of old Kenmores, and with just the one video, I've learned quite a bit (how long I retain it is another issue entirely). You explain things beautifully.

Thank you so much for the tutorial. That was a lot of hard work! I'll remember that bit about satin. I don't think I've ever heard that explanation anywhere in my sewing lessons.

I packed for a big trip down south, to hang out with my partner’s family, while this video played. And I just wanna say I really love your content and have played many of your videos on repeat before because I really like them ❤

I'm not cosplaying at moment, but i've been binge listening to your videos while I knit slippers for my family. Your videos are very entertaining and informative.

Ahhh you’re so inspiring the way you put it all together and troubleshoot! I’ve never sewn anything more complicated than a straight line before so seeing your process like this is building my confidence for the eventual cosplay I hope to make

New to your channel but just wanted to say, how awesome you are! Your skills and talent are really cool! And the whole organizing and planning skills that come from all your experience! I mean I was just overwhelmed by you only explaining what you have to do for this big ass project! I generally have so much admiration for ppl creating their own cosplays from scratch ✨🙌🏼

The grain directions disappearing and reappearing in time with the music was a great touch! I'm hoping your explanation helps the terms stick, as English is my second language so I sort of want to learn the same info and apply it to my two spoken languages, so if one sticks, I can try to get the second one too! And maybe show my mom so she learns too. I'll have to look at your other informational videos too, since you're so good at explaining things!

There is SO much effort put into editing and explaining. I LOVE it. You are doing an AMAZING job. This is the first video I'm seeing of your channel and it's an immediate subscribe. It's making me really want to get back into cosplay and also just sewing in general. I have no clue about any of it but I've always wanted to try.

Honestly, i am so happy that you got more viewers and are growing with every video! I sew too, not that complicated stuff like you are doing, more basic stuff like pillow cases and bags. Also i am currently working in a fabric store and i love that i can lern the english terms trough your videos, since i can use them when we habe customers who can not speak our mother tongue and communicate with me in english. Also i did learn graphic design and i feel so big nostalgia when i see you using Illustrator and other Porgamms like that. I love watching your videos, it kinda calms me down and helps me concentrate. You are a truly inspiring person!
