I don't know how tall Steve is, but I can guess his age range, and he's in superb condition to jump on and off a horse Apollo's size [which, if I remember, is over 16H]. I'm significantly older than Steve, and would give anything to be jn half of his condition! I've been screaming! Laughing with delight omg! My dh is home (Sun) came to see what was the hullabaloo... I was calling out to him "Apollo's galloping with her brother Steve...!" Really amazing, the action when he gallops, Apollo's got his blood up, he's galloping into battle as the war horse they were... Farouk is upset as you hold him back Tara, look at his backfacing ears :) I know Steve is a speed demon (from that one video of him in his car so funny) and now I can see his DELIGHT as Apollo takes off, zoom zoom! Better than any car engine beneath him I bet :) I began this video with you Tara deciding to go mountain climbing with the horses... You are loving the danger! Let's just say I have noted that you do NOT notice dangerous maneuvers on horseback, your confidence and chutzpah is amazing and wonderfully refreshing, it certainly gives the horses confidence training. But Steve, when Apollo came through that gate and Steve walked up behind holding the reins, I could barely hold myself together. My twin and I would only follow our elder teacher in his escapades because we trusted him to care more for the horses we rode than ourselves, we knew we'd be ok... This is in my top 3 of all your videos :) Wish you could hear my laughing, screaming, and silences through it. You are wise to know horses need adventures too, lest anyone forget, I have not :)

I loved watching this ride. Those two horses deserve treats when they get home. :)

They seem well matched when they raced. In your opinion which horse is the fastest?

The Arabian obviously she was holding him back so she could get footage of Apollo.

Farouk (being an Arab) not only has mindblowing endurance, but incredible speed unmatched by few breeds. The proof is in the pudding, if you can find videos where Tara lets Farouk out to run, you look at your screen and wonder at first, "did I up the speed of the video???" - then you laugh because you realize nope, that's them racing realtime on the video. They (Tara and Farouk) are really THAT fast... exhilarating!

Well Apollo wasn't going as fast as he could. I think Steve was holding him back and maybe Apollo realizes how fragile Steve is. Farouk is a pretty big Arab, who can run. Its hard to say. If it was a halfmile race, probably Farouk.
