This is absolutely Wonderful and Fabulous. Seeing Pure Black Friesian Mares Trotting in the Orangey Yellow Autumn leaves. It's a dream come true. And I noticed something that Rein loves to ride Hester. He always rides her. I guess that is his favourite Horse 🤩

The wild horses do that, dig for water, it's instinctive. It is a gift and benefit to other animals too small or weak to effectively dig in the dry areas of western North America.

Beautiful forest ride. Hester and Reintje appeared to love it as well. Back in the barn, brushed, pellets and relaxing. Those youngsters sure get into a lot of mischief out together. Fun for them. Trail rides are without a doubt some of my favorite videos to watch not only is the scenery/forest absolutely beautiful but listening to the steady sound of the horses hooves is incredibly soothing it’s perfect. Hester did a fantastic job taking it all in Reintje’s an old pro and both ladies are so sweet.❤️❤️ As always it’s nice to see the teens and young mares all of them are looking as gorgeous as ever Lianne’s decided she’s going to dig to China my favorite girl has a bit of a naughty streak.🐎🌟😁😅

@@lisajoyaslanis It is a term for sensations (sounds, images, etc.) that generate a pleasurable relaxing feeling or a tingling sensation. That is my simplified definition 😅. Something like watching a massage or listening to singing bowls can be relaxing to some people. Horses chewing their food is an example, too. I think Yvonne mentioned it in one of the videos while one of the girls was eating. (autonomous sensory meridian response). ☺️

I love going on trail rides! This was glorious! Silly girls, digging holes in the arena! I saw they were eating something under the sand. In my limited experience, horses that do that are wanting/needing certain minerals in their diet. Lianne may have found some diotemacious earth to help? Maybe something to look into. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Whatever it is, it cracks me up that all the youngsters had sand on their noses. No telling *who* started it! 😄

I don't know if Reintje is already aware of her new role. After Richtsje and Sijrkje are gone, she is even stronger in the leadership position as an experienced mare. On the trail rides this works at least as long as there is no water. The outdoor arena is a large sandbox for the young girls😀

Looks like you and Rein had a lovely autumnal ride through the forest - I love the crackling sound of the leaves on the ground as you walk, trot and canter over them 😍😍. Reintje and Hester definitely seem to be enjoying themselves, and Reintje is getting braver going on front 😍😍😍😍. Well earned pellets back at the yard 😂😂! Cheeky youngsters digging holes in the arena 😂🙈😂🙈! Got a feeling that Lianne may have been the ringleader in that particular game, given that you caught her half in the hole 😂😂! She is such a friendly girl, and is still a massive cuddle bug - don't EVER change, gorgeous girl 😍😍😍! I can't believe how big the yearlings and two year olds have grown from being tiny, cute foals 😱😱! Looking forward to see them learn how to be ridden, pull the cart and go to the inspection this year 😍😍😍😍.

@@vgil1278 LOL- cause it's true. Only very healthy, mentally/emotionally and physically, horses dapple. It's a wonderful thing to see. Of course, when in their shaggy winter coats it's hard to see- but otherwise you can tell.

The city I grew up in is known for having trails for hiking, running, biking, snowmobiling and four wheeling and even dog sledding. There are a lot of natural rivers, creeks and rivers (especially along the Superior's lake shores) but not a one is a riding trail if you can believe it. Riding with my friends as kids was done either by the side of a country gravel road or on their properties or in the occasional arena if the weather was nasty. The actual City of Duluth, Minnesota (U.S.) is built on a steep hill. When you mentioned Friesland isn't hilly it made me think of a series on PBS (also shown on KZbin) called "Lost Duluth" or something like that, that shows how the city started and progressed into what it is now. I always felt bad for the horses that had to pull the trollies up the inclines on cobblestone streets or the logging horses hauling white pine logs on bobsleds, especially during the below freezing winter seasons. What a great day for a ride that must have been though. Your phone takes such great videos that I assumed you already used a Go-Pro.
