You can tell they are not really a whole herd yet as Coralle is keeping the mares away and Rising Star is keeping Yfke away from them but for a merger, that was pretty much the most perfect first day. They are curious and rarely showed aggression. It's great to see Risey protecting Yfke and them sticking together like a herd even though they are still children too. With two warmbloods involved, I honestly expected this to go worser but this is a testament to how well the horses are handled, the daily interactions for sure helped.

Again, I can’t get over how good Risey is moving. He used to fall frequently, but here he is running all over after joining the herd and only slipped up once in the same place Yfke tripped, so… I have hopes he is recovering and may be perfectly ok in time. Maybe it was just a bad injury that caused temporary wobblers after all.

Unfortunately he's already been diagnosed with wobbler in two places. An injury doesn't cause wobbler, it can mimic the effects of wobbler but only temporarily but it'll heal much faster by itself and the effects would have entirely been gone which is clearly not the case for Rising Star, he's showing improvements through medication and treatments, not natural healing. The wobbler itself does not heal, it's a degenerative disease. It also helps that he's still growing, so the neural pathways may be getting more leeway as he gets bigger which helps his coordination.

Will Risey become the boss or will Corralle remain Queen of the herd?

Too early to tell. A stallion (or gelding) is the alpha of a mare herd but age does play a factor. It does not seem like any mare was being bossy towards Rising Star, the only time Coralle kicked Risey was when Belle was near, so that's maternal instincts, not bossiness. Rising Star seems to be confident enough to go close to the mares and they do not seem to care when he's segregating them, so he's likely been accepted. However, is he the boss yet? Obviously not as this is his first time close to them and he's not snaking/bossing them but he's dominant horse and they can tell. A pecking order is something that will be more established as we see more of them together. The initial contacts are always be ambiguous, especially for a young male as he may not know what to specifically do.

I have noticed in recent videos that Reintje enters the stahl with Baukje first. Before Corelle made sure she was always first.and when Yvonne called the whole herd in for the night Saly was already at the gate and Blomke was way back with the rest of the herd.weaning time approaching????
