Pro tip; a new replacement glass will not easily take the element supports. Pre thread (tap) the painted holes with a good #8 sheet metal screw with a Robertson head. You’ll likely strip the Phillips head camming out as the fasteners are very soft otherwise.

Is there a way to swap out the “glass” only using the original frame? My top is 15 years old so I bought a used one in a "bisque" color frame BUT my range is black. A new top costs as much as the original stove! 😩

We found ours online. If you do it yourself take pictures of clips, brace and screw holes. Note the screw heads will strip very easily, so be careful.
