Wife just called said the stove is cracked. a new replacement of this model cost over 1000, the part was 240. i have never really done appliance repairs but i am mechanically inclined. I am confident that with the information you have provided in this video i can get this done. Thank you brother for making this.

Your video was excellent and helped me change out the top fairly quickly. I had an oops, that I think would be worth sharing. When I was disconnecting the big connectors for the control module, all of a sudden the control module dropped. It ripped the 11 pin connector off the board. I was able to repair a couple of traces and resolder the pabs to get it working. A note of caution then to support the control module when disconnecting the connectors. Thanks again for a great instructional video.

worked for me, exactly as stated. HOWEVER I ran into a pretty big problem. When I opened up the front panel and let the weight of the panel rest on all the wires holding it in place (like he shows around 2:00 minutes) some of the wires pulled out of the plastic connector. In fairness I wasn't being super gentle, but I wasn't being particularly rough either. I'm referring to 5 wires that connect behind the oven controls. All 5 wires came out of the plastic connector that plugs them into the panel. From your video I was able to tell that it's Grey white yellow blue Light blue for the order, and I had to guess on spacing since there's some blank spaces. Fortunately I guess correctly (just spaced the yellow and white evenly in the gap and all the others at the edges. I'm very surprised and pleased that apparently I got it back together properly because it appears to be working.

Hey, thank you for the video! Very helpful! I replaced the glass, but the raised ring on one of the elements had broken off and was cracked at a few spots. My husband just reassemble it on the new glass and we carefully screwed it all back together upside-down to keep it inplace until tightened. Anyway do we need a new element too?
