Thanks for the help. Method worked for me. Root cause for me was frozen solenoid. Lost power for 24 hrs and when the power was restored the moisture froze the solenoid.

Thanks for the video! Seeing the solenoid after you disassembled the ice maker is a big help!

Thanks for the info. I just removed the ice bin and took my hair dryer to the slot (solenoid door) in the back. Thawed it in about 4 min and put it back in.....presto, we have cubes again!

Thanks for the information on disassembling and reassembling, I removed the ice bin as well and used a blow dryer as did Rod, and thawed the frozen mechanism all works great now, with money savings and product information. Thanks again! 11.01.22

For what it's worth, this solution seems temporary. Mine has started to get stuck in crushed ice again from time to time, but not nearly as often as it did before. Might need to make this an annual repair sadly

Thank you. That was an easy fix that worked

Best video I have watched. Unfortunately my solenoid looks like it has burned out due to sliding box being frozen in place. I am going to cut some foam or similar and place underneath the sliding box to keep it up permanently and then we can get cubed ice only. Has anyone done that?

Mistitled. The icemaker ONLY make cubed ice. The dispenser ice bin crushes the ice and dispenses it.
