This actually has the best wash action compared to a lot of the newer top load machines. Look at that turnover and the tub does not spin with the agitator..... That's a plus !
@sheltonsingletary24884 жыл бұрын
I own this washer and have for almost two years now. It is a good machine and does a really good job washing cloths. Just finished a load of 9 adult jeans and it handled them with out a problem and It filled all the way to the top with water. Not 3/4 of the way like most other washer if they get that much water.
@camand27692 жыл бұрын
I wash at least 2 loads a day. One day the clothes stopped spinning on the spin cycle. I got 18 months out of this unit before it died. I bought an extended warranty and they sent a repairman out who told me the machine needed a new clutch and motor. The cost to do that would have been $624, about the cost of the machine itself. Thank goodness I bought that warranty; it paid for itself in this case.
@petermaz7014 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen the wash action on this machine before it’s actually quite good, certainly out cleans the whirlpool family of washers. In further tests you will see that the aggressive agitator does move the clothes and the nubs along the side of the tub and the bottom help with cleaning.
@FOG20063 жыл бұрын
The mechanic is IDENTICAL to Electrolux washers manufactured and sold here in Brazil, and despite the nylon gears it's surprising durable!
@benjaminschultz25826 ай бұрын
A normal wash that actually moves the clothes and fill rinses. The agitation is good but strange for 10 minutes, and at 15:20 is like an old-school agitator washer.
@lmal82074 жыл бұрын
My grandma has this machine and she seems to love it. Despite the spin speed being so slow it takes a long time to spin so clothes come out pretty dry. The bulky setting does 2 deep fill rinses which is a waste of water. The softener dispenser is made for ultra fabric softener, a full cap of whatever makes it dispense 🤦🏻♂️ overall in performance it actually cleans well. But I’d probably get a gE before this if I want a cheap washer.
@ethelryan2574 жыл бұрын
Two deep fill rinses are what clean. It's been scientifically established.
@lmal82074 жыл бұрын
@Ethel Ryan this may be true but top loaders usually do 2 rinses with the option select but this machine fills up to the brim with 2 rinses by default on the bulky cycle which for me is a waste of water, I’d prefer a spray rinse and then a deep rinse like Some GE models do . But to each it’s own I guess
@user-mj3nv3fg9u4 жыл бұрын
I have this washer and I agree it is a waste of water having an automatic second rinse on the bulky setting. I like being able to select the second rinse on my own. I like the bulky setting because it adds extra water to the tub which is enough to cover your clothes. I usually wash most of clothes on this cycle and set the soil level to light or very light.

I had this machine for 3 years. We wanted to love it, but it was the noisiest, worst washer we have ever owned. It would not spin without beating, banging, and at times, it would move from the spot it was sitting. It washed and cleaned clothing very well. but it would wake me up while spinning in the mornings, and my bedroom is on the opposite end of the house from the washer. I spent the money to replace it with a Speed Queen washer, which is smooth and quiet. We LOVE the Speed Queen!

I cannot seem to understand the water temperature on this machine. The clothes only seem to wash in cold water except light loads. Is there a clear understanding as to when it washes in hot water? It doesn’t seem to make sense.
@jjdavis73207 ай бұрын
I just got one of these yesterday. I don't know if it has issues or if what it's doing is normal. I wish the video had not been edited to speed up the tub filling process. When mine is filling it makes a loud, high pitched whistling sound and the water stops for a split second and restarts. When the water starts and stops there's a HARD kick like sound. Is that normal?

@arthurtennessen96804 жыл бұрын
The Whirlpool Direct Drives had a plastic link between the motor and the transmission. It was made to be weaker than metal so it would snap in case of a jam in the tub area and not destroy the transmission, motor and other moving parts. i suspect that is the purpose of the plastic parts, they appear to be in that role also rather than pure cost saving.

This machine seems to wash very well, but it wastes a lot of time seemingly doing nothing. Like for example there is no need for 9 minute spin between the wash and rinse, and there is no need to run the drain pump for so long after the spin has stopped. It’s alright, I would probably take it over a GE, especially considering the amount of features this has. It would be interesting to see how this handles towels or jeans.
