Question - does the exaust air only come out the front of the microwave? Is there a way to make it come out the back so I can have the air vent outside?
@BigAl-1 Жыл бұрын
Jon, I Most over-the-range microwaves can be set to vent outside or circulate air through a filter back into the kitchen. The circulating option is useful in kitchens where venting outside is difficult, costly, or not an option at all. I hope this helps. Thanks for the question and hopefully you subscribe to Big Al Repairs.

@@BigAl-1 Thanks for this response. Do you have any idea how to set this microwave to vent outside? For the life of me, I've been through the manual and can't seem to find how to do it
@BigAl-1 Жыл бұрын
@@jonsarpong4082 I have not vented a microwave from the back side. But I did do a Google search and there is a KZbin video showing how to do that. Please give us an update as to how that went and if you were able to find that video and complete the project. Best of luck and it would be awesome if you could give us an update. Thanks again

You all seem to think this is ok? Well my stove was not on! I cooked 3 things in the microwave and with 3 min left on the 3rd item when it happened.....again. The food was not yet finished cooking, the other foods were now getting cold, and I had to endure that damn noisy fan for 15 minutes! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! DEFINITE DESIGN FLAW!!! Yes, you explained perfectly why this happens...BUT IT SHOULD NOT EVER HAPPEN!!!!! I own 3 homes....and have never had this issue with any of my microwaves. Buy a sharp...My first lasted 30 years without any issues. My second one lasted until the home buyer decided to redo her kitchen. New one is working perfectly in our summer home. And...quite frankly, I do not like my machinery nagging me to come take out whatever I put in there.!!!!!! Going online to amazon to get a new sharp for my Florida kitchen...and I do not care who takes this one out of the trash! But I have never ever heard of another microwave doing such crap. Who wants this one...come get it!

My stove wasn't on!!! and its ridiculous for me to wait 15 minutes for it to cool down from cooking the meat to cook the veggies! I threw it out!!! $300.00 is not alot for me to toss, if it is continually upsetting me! A definite design flaw

So there was no heat below the microwave? The fan is an automatic response to too much heat on the outside of the microwave. I am not sure what happened to yours.

This is not a repair. When that autosensor goes bad, whats the actual repair...this isnt a fix, its a workaround until it doesnt work around.
