if the male plug was burnt can we only change or cut the male plug only? and not the entire cord?

My compressor was bolted on. The nut in the back left corner was nearly impossible to access. Even my miniature ratchet would not fit. Had to use a miniature wrench took me 30min to undo one bolt.

Holy..... $39.20 for a cable! I can make my own cable. With mechanical twisting & soldering & heat shrink & tape. But I understand that many people can't do this. Even if they can... They don't want problems with insurance companies. I'm outside USA, we don't have insurance for homes.

Test Games I have a question for you. . We were moving the fridge and power plug got damaged. Trying to cut to replace with a generic plug, but not sure which is the hot and which the neutral. They are both black . Any ideas how I can tell ?

Pay attention to the cable to see if there is any marks or etc... I don't know where are you from, but If you have your exicting plug and your cable still not seprated... (don't plug it!) use test light screwdriver in your wall power socket Live = light , nuteral = no light Both lighting up = both are lives ( in some countries ) Then when you know which one.. mark the nuteral or live one.. so you can replace it with new plug ( tighten the terminals screws tightly, loose connection can makes problem or burn the plug etc... can cause fire ) Like our old house both live, each line 110V ... in total 220V It dosn't matter which is which Search in internet. Or sadly just get a new cable. I hope this help Pray for me :)
