Affected by the penalties was also the later winning Frikadelli Team. "It was justified to inflict the penalty to our team as Sabine was simply to fast"s said team manager Klaus Abbelen. "Race Control made a good job even though we were thus not able to cover the full race distance. "Sabine Schmitz took the start to the race in the first starting groub from the last grid position and came back to the Line after the first lap in fourth place: "That was great fun and I was able to correct my mistake from the timed practice. I decided to run on slick tyres despide the gentle rain but encountered some problems at the beginning. Juan Diego Benítez VLN is the series that runs all their races on the Ring at varying lengths. I believe there are 10 races.

Sabine, die Königin der grünen Hölle. Ich glaube es gab da auch noch keine unsinnige BOP sonst hätte Sabine mit 50Kg Zusatzgewicht, einem Serien Auspuff und ohne Flügel fahren müssen, also fast so wie es heute gehandhabt wird damit auch ja kein Porsche eine reelle Chance hat.

super! schade dass der ton so schlecht ist, ich höre fast gar nichts, und leider auch die bildquali selbst bei 720 p hd nicht so dolle ist. zudem finde ich die obere kamera (bild in bild) eher nutzlos. da ist ja nichts zu sehen. besser wäre es, die heckkamera unten rechts im bild eingeblendet zu haben. nach vorne 2 kameras braucht man nicht. und dann bitte eine bessere bildquali anbieten (gopro lässt grüssen). danke. aber super gefahren. hut ab. so durchs feld zu pflügen und das bei den eher widrigen bedingungen (regen), das ist mal richtg geil! :)

The Nürburdring is her second home i guess, at least she is one of the Ring Taxi drivers who is around a lot. There are only few who know the track as good as she does and this shows how well she knows every bump of it. Lovely driving.

Sabine gave my wife and me laps around the track in her street 911 GT3 RS during the VLN 09 2014 weekend. She told my wife she grew up in the area (her family owns Hotel am Tiergarten) and she has done about 35,000 laps of the Ring. She said she sneaked her bicycle onto the track to go to school before she was driving. She also wore out the tires on the family car when borrowing it.

Geniale erste Runde! Da zeigt die Königin des Ringes mal wieder ihr können. Sich dann auch noch artig beim Überholen zu bedanken macht dich schon fast zur Kaiserin :-). Mal ehrlich, bin nen riesen Fan von dir Sabine und wünsche mir, dass du noch lange am Fahren den nötigen Spass und Biss hast. Bleib gesund und erfreue uns noch mit vielen Videos dieser Art! sad really to have this year 24hrs race with speed limit. I hope next year it will never be the same. As you can see she can push the car till 270km/h +++ instead of just 250 km/h in this year race. :( and also feel sorry for u guys for crashing out while in the lead. It's amazing to see the speeds these racing drivers are doing, going from 50 to 250km/h easily and then in a blink of an eye slow down for a corner again, and racing bumper to bumper at these high speeds as well. That's quite a bit of skill and fearlessness. :) Also, the Mercedes's and Porsches are ferocious beasts!

Der Unterschied ist zu groß. Das Auto muss erheblich besser sein. Das liegt nicht alleine an der Topfahrerin Sabine.....

Was soll denn so kurze Zeit nach dem 24h Rennen am 997 jetzt auf einmal besser sein als an den anderen Autos? Man sieht doch auch an ganz vielen Stellen, dass beispielsweise der Ferrari 458 aus den Kurven heraus ihr davonzieht, nur weil sie dann Kampflinie gefahren ist konnte sie das so durchziehen.....das war tatsächlich das Können und die Erfahrung von Sabine Schmitz (plus wahrscheinlich eine gehörige Portion Wut auf die Strafe und die Rückversetzung in Startgruppe 1). Man sieht ja auch, dass ihr der Porsche zweimal vorne wegrutschte weil sie auf Slicks draußen waren obwohl die Nordschleife teilweise nass/feucht war. Vielleicht waren ein paar andere Autos auch auf Intermediates oder Regenreifen draußen, das macht einen deutlichen Unterschied.
