they allow you to adjust the spring pressure of the top roller. the tighter they are the less the top roller gives as cane passes through. Loose them up for bulky feeds and tighter for thinner material.

It can juice many different fruits and vegetebales, ive never tried pineapplethough. It good for ginger root and that mixes great with sugar cane.

You can freeze sugar can juice in airtight containers.Thaw it out and its good to drink. of course you loose some health benefits as the live enzymes are killed, but its great year round to drink.

I was thinking the same, Jamie. The other idea would be to squeeze the lime juice into the cup and then pour the sugar cane over it. The gratify from the pour would mix the two juices within the cup. No need for a stirrer .

I have a cane juicer. If you put the lime in the manual crank the seeds will get stuck in the rollers. It is a bit difficult to get them out.

Hello Msfelix, A 6 ft long piece of cane with average diameter will produce 3-4 glasses of juice. I like ti pass each piece 2x through the juicer. anymore than this yields diminishing returns.

I had no idea one cane could produce so much! Our patch of cane is in its first year of production; the canes are almost 2 inches wide, and we probably have 75 canes or so. My husband hopes to make wine with some, and we do juice, as well. I wonder how the big plantations get molasses from the cane. I know it's from the last pressings, but probably these small machines can't produce it. ^^ Thanks for your response; I appreciate it ^^

when you run the cane again on the fold, put a half lime in between and then press it, you will get all the juice including the rind juice which is good for you too

If you want to see how it's done. Look up molasses. Molasses is the way cane was used for a long time. It condensing it makes it sweeter, easier to store, in less space. He obviously has close to zero experience. Really proud of his new machete too.

I am interested in purchasing your geared miracle. I love its fine balances...And at half the price of the counter-top model I considering! I only hold out Sir, waiting for your wheatgrass juicing vids. GreenGrass is the color of mass Sale! Srsly, literally I'm holding my breath metaphorically. Actually I give the chance to temps who had volunteered to cease breathing in my place. But better no work-related deficiencies now. So I haz idea 4U concerning juicing smaller grasses. Olive-oil presses ancient & modern both use hemp-cloth cones to hold the slippery olive mash centered beneath the pressures. Perhaps you too may find it easier juicing wheatgrass once you provide some sort of press-bag to maintain your produce in a shapely pile beneath the roller. Or perhaps wheat blades crushed with parsley stems &/or celery stalks might develop into a sturdy tangled pile suitable for passes through the rollers? Fiber is the key! OTOH Carrots - &all the other little hybrid vegies that aren't strung together so well- will surely just explode under the pressures. It is not cruel to straight-jacket mindless vegetables.

many of those machines listed as sugar cane juicers are not made for that. The 2 roller presses you see are for wringing out squid. They use them all over southeast Asia to sun dry squid. Then there is a ~$300 model that is bare bones, no stainless steel, a Brazilian design. I have no experience with it but by looking at it i can tell you its inferior.
