You are correct on the Caius/Fader burn ruling! Fader is banished by it's own effect, and not by Caius' effect, so no damage is dealt! I actually talked about that on my most recent 5 Minute Edison Rulings vid on Frogs :)

Rule of thumb: when Card A has an effect that puts itself in a location when it leaves the field, and Card B is trying to make it go to a *different* location, it always defers to Card A's location. e.g., Destrudo vs. Evenly Matched, result is that Destrudo goes to the bottom of the Deck.

you actually would take 1000 from caius banishing battle fader, or at least you would in 2023. Not sure if it was ruled differently back then Edit: ope it worked differently back then than it does now

@@cooldeadpunk777 you don't take the damage in Edison, but you do take it today. There is a Database ruling for Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand vs Dark Magician of Chaos. There are also recent mail rulings specifically about Caius vs Battle Fader. Evenly vs Floows is a different scenario.
