For the record, it's called the FORCE Unleashed for a reason, it creates emphasis on the Force abilities in the game, that was the whole point of the design, so yes, you probably can beat it without the lightsaber. If anything, lightsaber combat is not TFU's strong suit. It would be much more challenging to try and beat Jedi Outcast or Academy without a lightsaber, by just using guns and your Force powers, as those games placed much more emphasis on the lightsaber.

This game was awesome. After maxing everything out, you can still gain experience. If you gain enough, you will eventually have "infinite" health and force. Made subsequent playthroughs so much fun.

I had this game on the ps2 as a kid and played it a butt ton so I was insanely confused throughout this entire video because apparently whatever version you're playing is an entirely different game from the ps2 version. From the level designs to even the order of the levels. There are like... three times as many levels on the ps2 version so I was waiting for you to go do those other ones but apparently not

@@ajbreivik9247 This is the 360/PS3/PC version of the game. This is the version that Lucas arts made directly while the PS2/PSP/WII Version was given to Krome, I believe it was. The reason they're so different is because the Krome versions had less powerful hardware to make use of the physics engine, so to make up for that they gave extra content. I know the game is on the switch now as well and that version is the one Krome made

@@vlexonkol8466 it might be. Dark Jedi have a very brief vulnerability phase when they use force powers like saber throws. I mnaged to beat Tavion and her apprentice in Academy with guns only. It was actually pretty quick too.

It would be cool if there was an achievement like “We are peacekeepers not soldiers” as per Mace Windu’s line, where you beat the game as a pacifist by not attacking enemies, or if you do attack them you don’t use your lightsaber to beat them (this wouldn’t apply to bosses for obvious reasons).

Honestly, I think the PS2/Wii version was better. The PC/XBox/PS3 version, while pretty for the time, just didn't play as good to me. Also, the extra levels and being on the ship in-between levels was nice. I also played the DS version and it was.... fine.

3:20 If you want to get really REALLY sadistic you build a chain of three or four and drop them together. The AI in Force Unleashed will grab for nearby surfaces when lifted, including other troopers. You can get them to basically pull their friends feet out from under them, and as long as the guy at the end of the chain has at least one free arm, he can grab another. They get a bit heavy though

Played the Wii version when I was a youngling, much like the PS2 version it was different than 360/PS3/PC version, different and generally shorter levels, the Jedi Temple you go to 3 separate times throughout the game and also get a level on the Cloud City.
