Hey buddy! Back in 1986, when I was 10 years old, my mom let me buy an antique northwestern glass globe gumball machine with stand for $40. It took all the money I had and paid in 1 dollar bills. It is a miracle I still have it after all these years as we moved a lot and the globe never got broken either. I am jealous of your scores as gargage sales around here are nothing but junk.
@Quarterbash4 жыл бұрын
A friend of mine convinced me a few years back that we should ditch our neighborhood and only hit up garage sales in rich neighborhoods. He said, "everyone sells their junk cheap at a garage sale, but their cheap junk is usually worth more." I don't agree with that 100%, but he has made a lot more money than me reselling over the years. :)

I saw you set the camera down on the second yard sale. Not sure what kind it was, but any of the older 35mm cameras that are Canon, Nikon, or Pentax are worth picking up. Minolta is a crap shoot... some good, some bad. In some cases the lenses on these cameras are worth more than the camera itself. You'll always get more than your money back even if you sell them "as is" for parts or not working on Ebay.

I just recently sold a Volusia County 1914 - 1915 Hire plate for 250. Most people couldn't afford a car until the 1930's when Ford introduced a car for around 600. dollars. So if you find plates prior to that, the odds are in your favor that there's money involved. Someone with a 1927 ride from IND would pay at least 50. for it.
