If you play this video at half speed and pitch shift it down an octave, you get something similar to what some dinosaurs would have sounded like. Dinosaurs did not have vocal cords or syrinxes, so they were not able to make complicated sounds like birds and mammals can. The sounds made by reptiles and amphibians are the best sources to draw from when imagining what they sounded like.

the worst is at night when lizards are snakes get them they make the most awful scream you've ever heard and you can definitely get it mistaken for a bird or a small rodent

Thanks for this... After a tropical storm in New Orleans this pass week. They're everywhere. I stay two blocks from the Mississippi River and six blocks from Pontchartrain Lake. We thought a family of frogs were in our home. They're loud as hell.

@@tbone6396 yes brother literally infested my area, yard and surroundings. That sound is the worst thing I have ever encountered. I'm literally traumatized, any sound I hear in the distance hits like PTSD because of these disgusting things. The sound of these things in mass borders on being an actual sonic weapon. I have to book b&bs far from my area, to escape. That's how bad it been in my area in SA after our recent rain season
