I've visited Dubai a couple of times but it was during my time on active duty in the U.S. Marines. We stopped there for R&R every 3-months or so while in Iraq.

I didn’t know you were in the military, Fred 😊 I have friends and family who were active duty in various branches. What a unique experience - active duty with a little R&R in Dubai. Did you have any “go-to” spots that you remember?

@@FrolicAndCourage Yep, I served 22-years. I was a Communications Officer. I can't remember anything in particular. We used to get Pizza Hut pizza a lot; I remember a Dunkin Donuts, and a few other local favs but nothing exotic.

22 years is a whole career - thank you for your service, Fred! 🙏🏽 I’m not too proud for a good personal pan pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut, haha! Sometimes having food that is familiar to home is so comforting 😊
