Indirectly he is saying focus on solving real world problems and become a good software engineer . But nowadays we see only puzzle solver 150 questions , 450 questions . That's not what software engineering is all about.

Absolutely! Everyone should do ds/algo while preparing for Jobs but they should be aware that it’s not real work. Industry has a bias for solving puzzles unfortunately but focus should always be on real engineering work to build a great career long term.

@@pritam9873 degree is a myth at least if u r from a cs branch. A lot of high paying startups don't ask u for ur past education. They only see ur skills. If u observe carefully, why would a degree of any IIT's will be acknowledged by any US or international startups.
