Astonishing how self depreciating he was. He makes what he does appear as routine as dusting furniture. He revolutionized music and is seemingly unaware what he accomplished. Everyone else in the music business, did not get this wrong, Charles Edward. You were among a very select few who grew rhythm and blues and country cuttings into a forest of rock genres.

That’s my boy. He was the greatest artist on Chess records, along with the late great Howling Wolf.

Gracias a canciones como "Maybellene" (1955), "Roll Over Beethoven" (1956), "Rock and Roll Music" (1957) y "Johnny B. Goode" (1958), Berry redefinió los elementos del rhythm and blues.
