Love live the music of Chick Corea. He awakened something in me 33 years ago when I first heard his music and I'm still chasing that passion. His SHINE will always lift me up. Thank you, maestro!

I saw the Elektric Band in '91 at the Toledo Museum of Art Peristyle Theater. What an unforgettable show. At one time I owned about 12 LPs ranging from the early Return to Forever to his duets with Herbie Hancock and his Tribute to Art Tatum (who was from Toledo). His Solo Piano Improvisation Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 were recorded at L. Ron Hubbard's compound in California, so the album jackets even had photos of Hubbard on them. He was an innovative force in every genre of music and will be sadly missed. 🙁

I think your referring to the albums known as “Delphi”, which was in 3 volumes. The original Solo Improvisations albums were recorded in Europe in the early 70s on ECM. Manfred Eicher would have wanted control over the production, I’m sure.

Until a moment ago, I had no idea he was a Hubbard Blubbard...These folks are loonies. I recall seeing things about them putting folks in dumpsters in LA in the 80's- It was a Beta cassette that my brother and I thought was airshow footage, but turned out to be investigative evidence in Scientology murders.
