With the comments directed to the guy, I find it interesting that it's only when a guy goes to get surgery to resolve their insecurity, that all of the sudden people care about men and their mental health. You don't see this level of disagreement with actual bbls or other surgeries that the "fairer half" get. It becomes a "their body, their choice" situation.

That's because for a lot of tall men (whether they want to admit it or not) their height is the only real comparative advantage that they have within the dating market right now. That diminishes if an average height man of means (5'9 for the US) can get this surgery and grow 7'' to become 6'4 and be relatively well-off while doing so (which you need to be anyway to even afford the surgery in the first place). That's why they want to discourage this as much as possible, it f*cks the game up for them completely.

While it can be viewed as the same, the fact is that this surgery is vastly different because after doing research there's no inherent health risks other than not being able to walk the same, whereas a BBL and other plastic surgery could possibly kill if it's not done right.

They've have been doing limb lengthening surgerys for over 20 years now. I dated a girl in 2006 who's brother was an orthopedic surgeon in NY who did tons of them then. It's a very difficult painful process...and very expensive surgery (75-100k). But you do want to make sure you get a good surgeon... You definitely don't want just any surgeon for something like this. And Nobodys going through that process unless they first have the funds and time to be out of work for at least 6 months.

If you look at those studies, they could not reproduce the same results. The men on both sides of my family are all 6'0+ (except my father). Excluding unnatural d*aths, the people in my family live until their late 80s to early 100s. Dick Van Dyke is 99, he's 6'1. Clint Eastwood is 94, he's 6'4.

actually, this height surgery is not new, I was about 20 when I first seen this type of surgery, on a special, a white guy had it preformed. the doctor told him the side effects that comes with that type of surgery, his bone will become weaker, as he gets older, i was intrigue at the beginning when he said weaker bones, I said I'm good. I'm 5'6" 58year old man, got my height from my mother, my father was 6'2". if a woman does not like you because of your height move on, im not going to create a health problem. LOVE YOURSELF!

This isn't new they have been doing this for over 25yrs now trust me I was looking into this in the late 90s. I'm only 5'3 1/2 but at the time the gains were only 2-3" with 9-12 months in a wheel chair before you could start relearning to walk. You would have basically had to be a cripple for around 2yrs when I looked into these procedures. Granted the science seems to have come along way but I just couldn't loose 2+ years of my youth and take on the debt for 2 inches. If the likelihood of up to 7 inches had been on the table I'd have likely done it. I can't even imagine life at 5'9 or 5'10.

Looks like a success but the only thing is he can’t really run but honestly once you reach mid to late 20s most people stop running anyway. Ask people when was the last time they ran full speed and most people won’t be able to tell you. The concerning thing is when you get older.
