I really enjoyed watching your content, understanding films, and following your recommendations. I even did your film critic certification course. I feel sad as you leave the platform. All these days I thought we had somebody who would talk and question the process of making movies. Alas you are shutting the shop now. Film companion has always represented English speaking elite which demonises the other linguistic speakers.. It only added as guide to English speakers. Anupama here claims that Film Companion worked as pan India.. It hired people like Hriday Ranjan who cannot speak Telugu as Film reviewer that speaks of great Hiring process that they adhere to, There were good reviewers also in the process such as Ram Venkat Srikar but also promoted non language promoter in various languages.. As many Tamil and Malayalam reviewers started reviewing other languages who themselves don't know Telugu and Kannada. Yes Film Companion raised many issues such as Mysogyny which is rampant in every film industries in India but also promoted below par nepotistic talents to appease their movie bosses in Mumbai.. Ps: This is Anupama's way of thanking her bosses in this video and also introducing mediocre English critics whose only qualification is they are from same friend circle..

Hey, just chill man. No one here is demonising anything and do not talk out of your ignorance. After baddy left for a year or so we had a Tamil based reviewer and remember Kairam vashi he did a mix of kannada and English review s. Anupama is one of the finest reviewers and film critic in this country and Hriday too. I don't see why you have to be kinda harsh on them just becoz they gave English reviews that you may not agree with. Fc is closing and it is unfortunate so try to send them off in a good note rather than complaining out of ignorance and personal biases.
