It was preplanned .. Ranbir and shraddha... TJMM story is different, I personally so like this movie i can relate to the subject. makers wanted to give a message to society.. it's a story about journey of a couple's dating, courtship period and anxiety about the wedding..in that journey families play most important role. If you see they have not over dramatized the story they wanted to keep it real, in real life nobody gives a shit about what couple is doing, what matters the most is family.. Couple kya Baat kar rahe in front of the world and all they are not bothered about it. It kinda well mechanised stage drama.. Just watch the movie again and remove any xyz character from the story, you will not like it than . They wanted to show that love for the family unconditional, and as we say in India two families got married not just two individuals .. TJMM was like stage drama with super entertaining characters...ranbir and shraddha said about this after movie got super hit..

I heard rumors that Alia secretly didn't allow it but i could be wrong And yes, the interviews of Jagga Jasoos were so uncomfortable and cringy to watch. I especially did not like Ranbir's behaviour towards Kat like he was looking down on her. And ofc you had to include Chappak promotions. Actors are free to take a stand but when you're one of the top actresses, your reputation seriously matters. One wrong move and it's over. I remember there was so much hate on Deepika, the audience collectively decided to boycott the movie that otherwise could have been a hit. Badhai do is such an underrated film. It was the best commercial Hindi movie on LGBTQ for me with brilliant performances. Genuine and realistic. And Tamasha is my utmost fav 😍 I recently watched Laila Majnu. I had no idea Ranbir and Katrina were acting like attention seeking narcissists and as child during their movie promotion, without giving a second thought how their behavior would affect a movie. It was not about them, they were there for the movie, but they conveniently forgot that and auctioned their dirty laundry for the whole world to see. These actors purposefully let strangers invade their private space, and they cry victim when get trolled. Hope I am not generalizing but most actors are just clearly narcissists imo.

Tamasha would have benefitted tremendously from better promotions. Maybe, the makers just wanted to ride the coat tails of a superhit Yeh Jawani hai Diwaani with the 'it' lead pair and let Tamasha create its own success. But, Tamasha was way more than a frothy rom-com and audience did not watch it with any better expectations. Hence, the commercial loss for a beautiful movie.

Did DP going to JNU cause a political stir? Yes. BUT- you ALSO have to admit that compared to Raazi and Talwar, Chappaak was an inferior product. The script could've been tighter- yes, I get the high-road MG claimed, saying the criminal was not important, that she didn't want any spotlight on him- but the movie had a weird montage-like feel, without establishing anything about any character- who was Malti? was she happy, loved, looking to a bright future, what were her aspirations- Nothing!! Yes, the crime is horrific, but nothing was done to get the audience invested in the Pre-attack Malti, for them to root for her fight- the cause is simply not enough, from a cinematic pov. MG is delusional if she thought the script deserved more than what it got. As for JJ, it was premium assholery on RK's part, out for display. KK, on the other hand, was dignity personified. Whatever he may be today, he was a horrible person back then.

Honestly speaking, kids born after 2008 have no interest in Bollywood. They primarily are into Kdramas, anime and Insta Reels. So the point is, hype around bolly celebs is gradually gonna permanently vanish since the GenZ literally has so much going on and have so many options that Bwood and its celebrities are gonna become irrelevant if they do not reinvent themselves to the taste and likings of this generation. I don't even know what's stopping them from creating compelling romantic dramas like they make in Korea ...romance used to be our USP.

Just because some action flicks worked in the past, doesn’t means every action entertainer will work and frankly speaking Indian audience no more want chest thumping brand of nationalism. In hindsight, maybe Luv Ranjan did a good thing in not placing Rnabir and Shraddha in a single frame. With Ranbir's history of foot-in-mouth moments, and also his recent marriage that had people dissecting everything he and his new wife did (not to mention questioning their relationship), it was probably better not to give them more fodder to make up stories about the new pairing before the film had even released.
