Heehee...even on Thanksgiving! Wearingeul Path is a deliciously dark and rich olive green ink. If you're into shimmers, this one is gonna give you a lot. Be warned 😆

I caved and bought the black Diamine Inkvent after I saw a sneak peek of swatches. So beautiful! The Colorverse Colorvent spoiler videos saved me. I was tempted and didn't want to miss out. Only a few of the inks appeal to me so it's definitely not worth it to me. I'd guess you got the Colorvent to try something new.

Lips are sealed for now...heehee. I, too, sneaked a small peek at a video for each calendar of inks before I made my decision. I hope I like the inks from the one I've chosen. Not beginning swatching till Dec tho so 🤞🏽

This was really great! I love this ink, one of my favourites, and it was great to see it against so many papers. I like it most against to midori, which is really not surprising for me 😅 I will definitely add a folded nib and some iroful paper to my christmas wishlist!

Sounds like you're a MIdori paper fan. This ink is so gorgeous, both the colour and the shimmer. Weird way to swatch the ink first time but got to knock out 2 projects in the one video. Ha! Iroful was a serendipitous find for me. Went into the Kinokuniya store here in Portland earlier this year and decided to test it out. Love how inks reacts on the paper. Btw, I've added links for where to get my fave tools in the description box. For me the folded nib beats the Q-tip for sure.

Hi Grace! I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving! This is a lovely video - and I learn so much from you (including how we can use everyday objects to play with ink). I’m looking forward to your Inkvent video. I decided to go through my stash of stationery items that I haven’t been using (washi, stamps, stickers, etc), wrap them and make my own advent calendar. I’ll randomly add dates to each package and then open them on the designated day. I have quite a few items that were stashed away and I should be using them. Mits recently posted a video about doing this and I decided to do one, too. See you in the next video!! ❤❤❤

Jamie......you will be hooked on the baggie! It's a fun way to swatch, even figuring out how best to make it work for you. I have only a handful of Q-tips left and once they're gone I don't intend to buy anymore. I think I might actually replace the Q-tip with the paintbrush to do my swatch cards. At least I can wash it out. I ended up using both ends of the cotton swabs so I didn't feel that bad about throwing them out.

No ink calendar for me this year, but I have plans to use things from my ink stash instead. (I’ll be opening doors on a Tea Calendar to enjoy while swatching.) I tend to use paintbrushes, calligraphy nibs, and my Hocoro Dip Pen with fude nib to swatch. Midori paper since that’s what I journal on. Path is a very fascinating ink. I’ve had it appear so shimmery that it looks metallic old gold on the page (unknown paper in a notebook from Design Design).

What an awesome plan Stacy! Makes me want to get a tea calendar but I'm too picky with teas for it to be worth the purchase. Wearingeul Path has a gorgeous shimmer to it. Thinking will prolly ink up for Dec Currently Inked.

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! This is a nice companion video to go along with the other 2 videos that you've done. Of course, I have the folded nib as well as an Iro-Utsushi in fine, and a Glass Dip Pen. The Glass dip was received with a broken tip, but I was able to sand it down to be much more usable with a slightly wider tip. Recently I got a straight acrylic nib holder, and nib from Osprey pens that I like better then the Pilot. I also got a Majohn Master N12 which is a nib holder with 4 screw in nibs one of which is a Glass nib that is far superior to what I had. The other three are regular Majohn nibs in EF, F, M without feeds. You may have heard of the Serendipity pen - it's a dip pen with a nib unit screwed into the holder. It's what people call a hybrid pen. I couldn't get one of those because the maker of this pen stopped making them, sold out, and retired from the business!! I wasn't one to let that deter me, I made my own, and now I have 3 examples. They may not be so great for swatching, but better used for writing extended descriptions. As for the ink calendars I chose to go with the Diamine Black Edition Inkvent. I'm a fan of Diamine inks not so much Colorverse. Have a great weekend!

What????!!! New nib holders I do not know about Jim! Well that's a rabbit hole I went down looking at the holders you suggested. Sad that the Serendipity is no longer being made. Sounds like an interesting one for sure. The other two I definitely put on my pen wish list. Ha! Do you like the folded nib? Some thoroughly dislike it. Yikes. You got the Diamine calendar huh? Mien will be revealed in due time 😆 Also hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well. 🦃

@@wildlyimaginable Actually, yes I really like the folded nib. It definitely is not for everyone, and it has it's specific uses - sort of a niche that it's best at and not normal fountain pen style writing. Yes, I'm looking forward to playing/swatching/writing with the Diamine Inkvent inks and I've held off till now & will start on the 1st of Dec.! And a happy Colorvent/Inkvent (whichever the case may be) to you!!
