The ancient mechanisms whirred and clanked, filling the golden hall of Terra with a tense hum. Across the homeworld, people turned their eyes skyward, feeling an unspoken anticipation. In the vast heights of the Imperial Palace’s throne room, two tall figures in resplendent armor stood together, awaiting a miracle many had deemed impossible. Lion El’Jonson stood silent, his sharp gaze fixed on the whirling mechanisms with an air of eternal vigilance. His grip on his weapon remained firm, as if even in this sanctuary, he could not abandon his instinct for battle. Beside him stood Roboute Guilliman, the living Primarch of the Emperor’s Imperium, his expression a mix of hope and wary trepidation as he looked toward what might unfold. Suddenly, a flash of light filled the room, radiating outward from the ancient machine. A soft murmur rippled through the silence as the figures of men looked on, breathless. Then, emerging from the brilliant light, a pair of radiant wings unfolded-golden, magnificent, and unmistakable. It was him. Sanguinius, reborn. Lion stepped forward, half-wondering if this was some phantom, a mirage crafted by old magic. But the sorrow and strength reflected in Sanguinius’s eyes left no doubt-this was truly their brother returned. Guilliman’s voice shook as he took a reverent step forward, memories of the last time he’d seen Sanguinius filling his mind-when he had watched from afar as the Angel fought Horus aboard the Emperor’s flagship. A terrible pang of regret hit him, the memory of how he could not be there to aid his brother. But now, fate had granted them a chance to stand united once more. "I...I have returned," Sanguinius spoke softly, his voice resonating with an unspoken depth of sorrow and resolve. His eyes lingered on Lion and Guilliman, and he sighed with both apology and relief. “Brothers, forgive me... for leaving you for so long.” Lion gripped Sanguinius’s arm, his usually steely voice now low with a rare flicker of emotion. “I never thought we’d meet again. I thought my prayers had long gone unanswered.” Guilliman allowed himself a rare, small smile, nodding as he spoke with a warm resolve. “Even in your absence, your light guided us. Your sacrifice has been the heart of the Imperium; it kept us strong and whole, Sanguinius.” Sanguinius’s lips lifted in a soft, grateful smile. “I come back bearing scars, but I have returned for the Imperium-for our people. Together, we will rebuild what was lost, and we will unite humanity once more.” Lion and Guilliman shared a solemn nod. This was no ordinary return-it was not only the resurrection of a Primarch but the rebirth of hope itself. Sanguinius was here not just as a warrior, but as the beating heart of all they had fought for. And there, on Terra’s hallowed ground, three Primarchs stood side by side once more. Their broken hearts mended, their scars healed, and their strength renewed. With the Angel of Light by their side, the Imperium looked toward a new dawn-one where unity, hope, and strength would prevail once more.

While very well written. Sanguinius should never return. That would completls ruin his entire character, and ultimatels rander his sacrifice.. pointless.

In a way the three have already reunited in the present time considering that both the Lion and Guillimen met Dante who is the Angel Greatest son.

The Warlord, destoryer of worlds. The King, governor and builder of empires. The Angel, the soul of them all made manifest. From all of the HH. The story of this trio, and the events that unfolded in that secluded part of the galaxy is my favorite part.

This song has my head full of thoughts of an "Imperium Ascendant"-esque future, what we could have had: Fulgrim, the unbroken blade. No matter the odds, he'd rise from the ashes and win, bringing honor to himself and the Imperium, his noble Legion bringing light to even the lowest of us. Perturabo, the unbreakable lord of Iron and Steel. Where his legion tread, the fires of industry would pash back the darkness. No world would be left without defense, for the iron 4th would man the walls till the last. Konrad, the ultimate judge and lawkeeper. His legion the unseen lawkeepers, harbingers of justice. The truly wicked and depraved would have no darkness dark enough for them to flee to, for they own the night. Angron, a champion of the people. Where xenos would encroach upon mankind's domain, the 12th legion would meet them head-on, standing shoulder to shoulder with the men of the Imperial Guard. Mortarion, the bringer of dusk. A necessary evil among the more noble legions. When a threat needs to not be just defeated, but utterly destroyed, the Death Guard would be called in. Magnus, the Crimson King, the most powerful psyker save for the Emperor himself. With but a thought, enemies would be torn asunder. He and his Legion would ensure the warp's malignancy was kept at bay from those not as able to manage it. Horus, the warmaster, first among equals. In gleaming armor, he would direct the forces of the Imperium. No legion would fight alone, no brother isolated. Even if he must tear a path to them, he would do so. Lorgar, warden of the faith that pushes every man and woman to strive that much harder in their duties, for the sermons of himself and his sons would give them purpose. No Apostate would be able to flourish beneath their watch, no tainted preacher would lead their flock astray. Alpharius. Or perhaps Omegon? The ultimate wildcard. Even more unseen and unknown then the Night Lords. Their's is a thankless, honorless task, for if their job is done properly, none will ever know it was done in the first place. Such promise was stolen from us by the dark gods...
