It rises once more from the ashes. /If/ they are smart, Clonegrim will return, cobble together a cadre of misfits from at least some traitors and some loyalists. Phoenix Guard members being the most apt for this of course with some Sons of the Phoenix... Turns out they are sired of the geneseed of Fulgrim, who knew? Massive battle, all goes down poorly, they come out reborn via the Emporer's guiding hand and the aid of say, a Sister of Battle.

I believe after clone Fulgrim reaches maturity the corrupted emperor's children under Fabius bile pledge themselves to him, Fabius himself fearing he'd throw his plans away in order to follow Fulgrim, instead sold Fulgrim to Trazyn the infinite. Further damning the legion, so in all the emps children fall further in depravity, Fabius delves back into his lonesome work, and clone Fulgrim remains in a cryo/temporal prison in Trazyn's collection.
