The same thing happened to me. I was an alcoholic and said one night: Jesus, if you’re real, make me stop drinking alcohol. The next day my intestines got swollen and I couldn’t eat or drink for over a week due to the pain. Long enough for me to withdraw from alcohol and stop drinking. After that I couldn’t doubt God or Jesus

Wow. Similar situation with me. I had horrible throat issues.. i asked jesus to make it go away before my family and me left for the beach, first family vacation in 8 years!! One night at 2 in the morning, my dogs are barking. I go outside to check on them, and i was swarmed by a yellow jacket nest. One stung me right on my neck. Hurt like hell. The next day, my throat was better. I couldn't believe it.

The fear of God isn't a fear of eternal hellfire, it's that moment when you look into your father's eyes and realize he's not mad, he's just disappointed.

Isn't it interesting when the Right Interviews someone, we learn about the person but when the Left interviews someone, we are told how bad so and so is, or whenever the person starts saying something interesting the interviewer stops them to direct the conversation?

I am part Iranian. My religious background was Baha'i. Unlike, Patrick, I converted to Christianity. Majority of Muslim Iranians do not even practice their faith, when they immigrate to the US or Canada. The black robed characters you watch on main stream media do not accurately depict the Iranian people. Many Iranians prefer to stay home with family and friends, wearing regular clothing, rather than deal with public government oppression. Personally, I find comfort in our Lord. I never had comfort before. If I am stressed or feel one of my loved ones is in jeopardy - I can visit a church and pray in a holy environment. A sense of peace comes over me, as I witness to Jesus Christ suffering to spread the gospel. What man would accept being tortured, recognizing that he will eventually be MURDERED - If he was lying or clinically insane? Think about that.

There are millions if not billions willing to sacrifice for some belief, whether it's their family, country, religion, whatever. Sacrifice is a human character trait that predates most religions. I don't believe that the writers of scriptures feel that is priority.

PBD shares his conversion to Christianity for 10 minutes and never mentions Christ's life, death, or resurrection; nothing about repentance of sin (except the part where he would continue to sleep with his girlfriend); nothing about the gospel or God's promises or grace. I like PBD and what he does on his podcast. But this so-called "testimony" has nothing distinctively Christian about it. Dude needs a faithful Pastor and needs to join a church where he can be discipled.

@@Koljadin That verse is often not fully understood. Jesus had well-to-do friends and many dirt poor ones of course. The verse is about how people manufacture their own salvation with empty deeds and material things (false Idols). Like when people think they will go to heaven because they got circumcised or baptized or bar mitzvah or confirmed, or because they amass 'holy' relics and blessed items so forth. We go through life collecting all these meaningless things that cannot save us and never could. Only faith in the Grace of God through Jesus Christ can save us - and most people have a hard time letting go of all those meaningless things that they've been told are so vital. This is why Jesus admonished the religious authorities of His day so fiercely; they taught untruths like washing a cup a certain way was necessary to know God. We still fight this battle today between the trappings of religion and real faith.

Religion is mostly about figuring out how to go to heaven. Everything else a religion teaches is secondary to the "how to go to heaven" part. Nobody needs religion to figure out how to be a good person in the eyes of society. But they need to study religions to pick a "how to go to heaven" route. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed and anyone's life could come to an end at any moment so figuring out the heaven part should be of highest priority in life. Before anyone says that the supernatural doesn't exist, they should listen to subliminal affirmations, and, morphic field videos on youtube and talk to people in that community about their results.

i hope patrick has trusted on jesus alone for salvation, cuz i did not hear patrick bring up the name of jesus even once in the whole video, all i heard was him talking about how he 'changed his life" which is a good work that will lead to gods blessings but good works don't save, only trusting in jesus alone for entry into heaven is how you get saved "Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" and "Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast" "Acts 16:30-33: Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house" if patrick is trusting in his works he is believing in a works based salvation and a false gospel and is not saved.

I hope he's truly saved but a red flag to me is, when the Holy Spirit of God moves into your life, you tend to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and his name and his person is what you descibe as your savior and redeemer - I didn't hear his name once here

The Lord Jesus Christ isn't a gennie in a bottle that grants our every wish, if you're truly Born Again, you trust in him always even in the darkest places in your life - He promises us in his word that we will have suffering in this world. If you're worried about loosing favor then you're counting on your own works- instead of trusting in him for everything

Christian to atheist a long time ago. Still feeling fine. You don't need religion to be a good person and I can't force myself to believe what I fundamentaly can't.

It's not religion you need, it's faith - they're not one in the same. You know there is evil and good, you also know about the blueprint of life which is more complex than any silicon chip. Deep down, you know there is a God too.

Religion isn’t to help us be good. Believing in God is about believing that there is more to our existence and a reason for us to be here. I actually find it harder to believe that we were a fluke. People say “how can I believe in God when there is cancer and kids get murdered?” And so on. What do they think it should be like here if there’s a God? Always sunny, no disease, no wars? That’s called Heaven and we haven’t earned it yet. I’m not a bible thumper or go to church or anything like that. I believe and I have an interest in it. My philosophy is simple. Gods not here in any capacity. You can pray for your sick mother, favourite sports team or to win the lottery. He ain’t listening. This is our test. Can you survive it and be a good, honest person? You can say and do all the right things in front of people but it doesn’t matter if it’s not in your heart and that’s what we will be judged on. Definitely not trying to preach here. Just offering a different perspective that you could maybe ponder 😊

@@Phier554 Considering only 2% of it has been decoded and 98% is called 'junk', I'd say He did a very good job. You don't understand it, so you call it 'junk' or a 'mess'. That's human arrogance I guess. You can't get code from evolution or the 'primordial soup'. Only an intelligence can write code / language. If you know a computer program or a sonnet couldn't have evolved via random accidents, irrespective of how long its given, then you must concede that genetic code is the product of a mind. The puzzle of the first life, and what we know about the massively complex machinery of a single cell, is what makes Darwinian theory a joke.

If you only know what is religion? All the speakers in this platform and others just goes around it’s ideology. Without understanding what is a religion.
