I’m grateful for your obedience to God in not only starting this channel but making this video. As a 20 year old young woman truly trying to live a life that pleases God, lust is something that I must admit I am struggling with. I was introduced to pornography in elementary school and it led to me breaking a promise to myself to remain pure sexually until marriage. I’ve felt ashamed and so much regret because I don’t know how to get back to that place of purity, because once you’re exposed to that, your heart and mind are not the same. I don’t have people that I feel like I can talk to who have been through it and have overcome it, and as you’ve stated, it’s not something that a lot of women in the Christian community speak on. This was very encouraging for me, knowing that you’ve sought the Lord and He has delivered you. Knowing that you have standards and boundaries that you are willing to uphold if it means that Christ is exemplified and God is pleased with you-even if man is not. Hey sister, my heart goes out to you. I think it’s important to choose what’s important to you. The sin or Christ. I think you have to be willing to fully give up everything that keeps you from God - including people who keep you tied to sin. My advice is to seek God and ask him what this person is to you because if they are not your God ordained spouse they cannot be positioned in a place they don’t belong in. Pray to God and seek repentance and realign yourself. He will continue to cover you.

Also, about Christians who still try to live like the world, In Revelation God refers to them as lukewarm Christain's, A.K.A People who are Christian in name only, they call themselves Christians but do not live like Christians. And God says He will spit those type of people out of His mouth. In Matthew 21:7-11, Jesus says not everyone who says LORD LORD shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but those who do the will of My Father. And you are correct about living an abstinent lifestyle drawing people to you. I have been abstinent over 9 years and have had a few women call me gay for refusing to sleep with them. God bless you for your transparency, Janel. You're right; these topics are not talked about enough in churches. In John 8:36, Jesus said "if the Son makes you free, you are free indeed." We have to pray to God to ask Him to show us everything in our hearts that's keeping us from believing that we're free. And then ask Him to remove those things. Oftentimes, that's going to take prayer and fasting but it's worth it. May God give us victory over everything that keeps us from believing in His dear Son, Jesus Christ.

I am of the same mindset as you and desire a partner approved by God, but we must face the possibility that there’s a chance that God does not desire that particular union for us. He might desire some of us to walk this journey without a human partner. We must face this possibility and be accepting of it and not let our desires for someone to share our lives with to distract us from what God’s true plans are for us. I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but it is cause to pause and reflect. God might be setting you/me aside for something totally different from what you/I have in mind for ourselves.
