Sam delivers Rice’s words with such care as to cradle each like a precious child he’s been given to hold and then deliver. He balances his own interpretation & nuance of Lestat with a loyal, yet adaptive resonates of the character’s source material. RIce adored her creation, Lestat and was fiercely protective. I think she would be exuberant with what the showrunners, writers, and actors have each done (respectively) with her life work.

Vampire showrunner on why the series is 'truer to the book' than the movie was" Mark Johnson "We tried to stay as true to the spirit of the book as possible, but it's very much a modern interpretation. In many ways, our show is truer to the book than the movie was, which is ironic because Anne Rice herself wrote the screenplay to the movie." EW 07.16.22 Rolin Jones promises that the series is “even more reverential” to the book than the 1994 film. Esquire 10.2.22 Again Rolin Jones: " his series would have some fealty to Rice's first book and her characters, but also broaden the stories of many other characters only alluded to in Rice's text. And, there would also be some remixing of events and plot points to ensure that everyone would have a rewarding, and surprising watch." SYFY 11.19.22 You're entitled to your opinions, (you've certainly vomited them all over the comments section today). Jacob was incredible. Eric B said that in all of their scenes (Daniel and Louis) Jacob spoke the full voiceover dialog and it was fascinating to sit and watch/listen to him deliver his monologues.

He also talked about how hypnotizing listening to Jacob/Louis was. To the point of a director yelling "Cut" and Eric being like "wtf just happened?"

Lestat yelling at Louis telling him to embrace his vampire side and stating he is a killer always gives me goosebumps. One of my favorite lines in the show. Sam Reid delivers it with such conviction!

With enough money and the rights of course a REAL fan could do better. Hell I bet my 14 year old could do better. This adaptation is crap on toast. The acting is awful, the writing is elementary and the production value is cheap.
