Awh, the original stylist was just going to try to be easy on your hair and keep it as healthy as possible by doing 2-3 rounds of highlights to get you to your desired blonde. It's a lot less harsh on your hair and can make the colour look less harsh and more natural / multidimensional that way! Your hair turned our super pretty in the end tho!!!

Hi Brianna🥰 If you want to go full on blonde from brown hair you have to build it up. Putting that much bleach in at once can wreck your hair. I had to build up mine over months if not a year. Most hairdressers won’t do that all in one day😔 glad you got it sorted tho Brianna! Lots of love💗💗💗

Sorry if I’m mistaken but I’ve heard many hair stylists say that it’s wayyy too damaging to the hair to go from brown to straight up blonde in one appointment so that’s why you are supposed to go to a few different appointments and slowly get it to platinum blonde. But idk maybe not but if that is true then that explains why you didn’t get full platinum blonde hair all in one sitting. So she would have actually been doing it correctly.

my friend recently recommended me her hair girl and was like “yeah she normally only charges me $80”. so i was thinking “wow what a deal!”. i went in showing her a picture of what i wanted and it looked NOTHING like the picture. i wanted MAJOR balayage, but she literally just toned my hair and added maybe 5 highlights in my hair. THEN they rang me up and charged me $250. it was outrageous!! i was so upset, but was too scared to demand a refund so power to you for having the courage to do that!!! i so wish i did!

OMG NO WAY 😭😭 I’m so sorry to hear that... that’s literally the worst feeling- that’s why it’s so difficult to try a new place out because you never know what to expect omg 😭 I can’t believe they charged soooo much for that!? I would have been so upset!! It’s definitely not easy to go up and say something, but you have to keep in mind that they are doing a service that you are PAYING for, so it should be what you asked for or if they know they can’t achieve that they should tell you in the beginning.. if that ever happens again, make sure you say something because you’re the one who has to be happy with it because you see it every day. Ahhhh I feel for you girl 😭😭

i SO feel u about going to get ur hair done and coming out with NOT what u expected. the first time i dyed my hair i wanted a pretty drastic transformation from black to a blonde ombré. i ended up getting highlights which were barely noticeable. and me not being a confrontational person at all, i didn’t know what to say when i wasn’t satisfied :/

I remember this happened to me few years back ,she (salon girl) highlighted my hair from natural black to yellowish bleach highlights without even toning. I reacted the same way you did 🥺 n my boyfriend asked me same question,,, never have I ever looked that bad 😭 I remember crying for the whole week because I tried to put black colour back again but it didn’t work out so I had to put multiple times n ended up damaging it more 😭

In her defense the picture doesnt look like all over blonde it looks like 3 sessions of blonde highlights or back to back in one session. Definitely not what you got but sometimes you have to do it in steps. This is why I'm super clear before I start doing color. Awwwe I'm glad you got everything settled.

as a stylist the only thing i can say is its all about thorough consultation . i wasn't there so i cant presume how your conversation went but time , money and reality are all factors when trying to achieve the goal style. its rather frustrating when clients come in wanting super fast sometimes unrealistic results and considering how dark your hair was she should have explained what was and wasn't possible given the aforementioned factors. its a stylists job to make you look and feel pretty and by nature most of us are people pleasers so theres is no need to be shy as you are paying them for a job . good on you for trying to stay happy and positive after the first appointment but please dont tell them your happy if your not happy and then come back with your husbands to tell them off. your hair now looks amazing it would have been cool to give a shout out to the stylist you were happy with (given her permission) so that your followers in your area could also support her if they wanted a similar hairstyle . none of this is any hate i am just a little defensive of my fellow stylists of planet earth all the while knowing that some of us definitely drop the ball at times

OMG I had the EXACT same situation happen to me back in december and I was so upset that I spent so much money for my hair to look almost the same color. Except when I went back and got it redyed, the color still wasn't blonde... I'm going to a different salon this month to see if I can finally get what I want... did your hair texture change after going blonde? i recently got basically the same thing done, went from brunette to blonde and naturally i’ve always had stick straight, really soft and healthy hair. the same thing happened to me.
