It’s one of the best decisions I have made. What I realized later is that a lot of people who were puzzled as to why I wanted to move to a place with XYZ problems were just people who wanted to move there themself but just couldn’t. And people who talk it down simply don’t want others to overpopulate the place because it really is a great place. You’re going to love it here!

@@KarlaCervantes97 It sounds oversimplified and dumb and but the only way to know if it’s right for you is to go and live there for at least a year, to experience every season. Then after you can decide. You can map everything out on paper and it will look perfect but it reality it’s different. Kind’ve like when you go to nursing school and then find out later it’s nothing like working in the hospital lol. I was there once.

@@xhynetuseinovski Awesome, I can't wait to see what you do, you've got an eye for amazing shots. I originally got my setup for filming but I find myself shooting more photos. I have the 6400 with the 18-105 F4. A few years back I took a similar road trip from NY to SF Cali and then I moved to Grand Junction, which is funny because you stopped here for food lol. I got the best of both worlds, the desert and the Colorado forest.

I would highly suggest that route if you’re leaving from the midwest. It was completely worth it and I don’t imagine ever leaving this beautiful place. Of course affordability of homes is actually a real thing (if you want to live within 30min of the coast) otherwise you can find better deals inland. The climate is just unbeatable!

@@xhynetuseinovski yeah we would be leaving from Chicago as well! We are actually taking a trip to San Diego in August because we are unsure about moving to San Diego or the San Jose area.

Haven’t been to San Jose yet but people say their weather is good but nothing like Southern Cali. San Diego is nice! Make sure to check out orange county too. Only 1 hour from san diego.

Many reasons but the major ones include: 1. Better weather 2. Closer to the great outdoors 3. Closer to the ocean 4. Experience something new

Those are all good reasons. For me, I can't imagine living anywhere else other than Chicago. I was born and raised in Chicago and lived here most of my life still to this day. Its one of the greatest cities in the world.

Honestly my wife and I are very happy here that moving back is never a thought. It ended up being a big risk that paid off. Of course its not perfect here either by any means but just the thought of going back to arctic temps and being stuck inside for 6 months makes me depressed. Once you move here you understand why people flock here and why people flock out lol.
