Hi Simon, at 46 and a lifelong gamer too I’ve really empathised with this story. You and I will both know the days before technology and sounds like you’ve had a similar journey. Monkey Island and WoW took up a lot of years for me too. I’m at a similar turning point but for me it’s been smaller projects. I spent a year learning Blender and been able to make some smaller games for my children to play and equally played around with C# to learn the basics of VR. I’m signed for the Beta and look forward to following your journey 🙏🏻

Thank you for making this video. While it's apparent that you love gaming, that alone will not help you create a great experience. You understand that there is more to gaming that just a fun play experience and that there are levels of engagement that need to encompass different player types. Between your big-picture understanding and awareness of how the little things can be the difference, the more I learn about this endeavor, the more excited I get. I haven't been this excited about a new game since Final Fantasy 7. I can't wait for more.

You mentioned the games that you've enjoyed playing down through the years. In our family, the main game we ALL loved to play (well, with the exception of my wife, who, like Lady H, is not overly fond of computer gaming) was King's Bounty. That was developed by Jon Van Caneghem for New World Computing back in 1990; since it was the dawn of the desktop computer age, it was really the first title that launched our family's interest in gaming. Then we got into New World Computing's Might and Magic series, and of course, the Heroes of Might & Magic titles, which we still play to this day. My sons and I started playing the first Diablo when it came out; I set up a small LAN in our basement so we could team up. And of course, we have played the heck out of World of Warcraft--and yes: I, too, fondly remember Karazhan and the Opera! Good luck with Fateless! I look forward to checking it out when it's released.

I've loved watching your channel grow and I'm excited to see where this new chapter goes. Have you heard of Horizons, Empires of Istaria? PvP, PvE, quests, and actual player controlled world changes (you could buy a plot of land, build it up, and open it for other players to use if you wanted). It was sadly plagued backstage but it had a hardcore player base.

Okay Mr Simon, I normally try not to give away my ideas online but, I would love to see a mobile game based on the old Castlevania mechanics but in 3D form. Because Castlevania had alot of bosses, gear, spells, leveling etc. Imagine you can go to different villages and you can go to the tavern and recruit players or npcs on your quest to battle against crypt clans and big bosses in real time or go solo. When you defeat an enemy it can be unlocked for play. Shards can unlock hidden characters on the way too. For energy that is depleted you can play a short 2d side scrolling 8-bit game or you can choose to purchase energy or items to level up in the Merch Shop. Each part of the map will have different stages & themes for the crypt clans like Toys in the Attic, The Watch Tower Watchmen, The Aquaclan, The Things, and the common Vampire, Licans, Ghosts, Zombies crypt clans. With that being said, my go to game besides raid is Castlevania because of the replay value. Mr Simon I hope you can take any of these ideas and make a mobile game out of it in the future.

Eye of the Beholder series, I loved those! Back in the days when help was a 900 number (that was an expensive type of land line phone call for any young whippersnappers out there). Many times it turned out the problem was a bug and the 900 help line didn't have a solution anyway. The early days of dubious monetary practices in games?!? I tried to go back and play the EOB games recently via GOG and could not do it. My memory is not what it used to be, and the thought of hand drawing maps of the dungeons to figure out all the puzzles and traps is not something I am willing to do now. I am too spoiled by modern games;)

I truly hope that you create something along the lines of World of Warcraft, something that the community actually mingles together somehow. World of Warcraft had amazing environments and epic battles, but more compellingly there was a sense of community, there were the cities where people could gather and /dance, or other emotes. It actually felt like you were meeting real people inside the game. Clans were meaningful with actual interactions. Clan meet up to do big boss battles were always very chatty and interactive almost party like events as people blew off steam before the big battle. Raid Shadow Legends on the other hand is sterile and basically a solo game even though it has clans. One thing that is very Central to your channels, KZbin, Facebook, whatever, is it you are very very into the community interaction, I really hope that you carry that into your game and create a space where people can play and meaningfully interact with each other in a real way.
