@@Gooie69 I'm not sure what country you're from but if you're in the UK you should understand that the salt and moisture on the roads here do not work well gobbo, the amount of classic cars, commercials and motorcycles our family have restored vehicles dating back as far as 1949 with poor repairs like this is unreal, it didn't leave the factory with this rubbish some may have left with lead but that's it so why should it have it now. Unfortunately I am unable to respond to your replies with our portfolio of classic vehicle restorations which we do for a hobby as well as for other people but I can assure you I know a thing or two about proper restoration and being around myself for 40+ years I like to think I know a thing or two, so less of the pathetic keyboard warrior dross.

Bondo isn’t the problem in body as most people think. It’s filling cavities with bondo instead of pulling the dent first. This was the way to do it. And they used the bondo as a leveler with the thickness of the previous paint.

We generally never put more than a 1/4 inch of plastic (bondo) on a pulled dent. If it were possible to quickly pick and file a dent we did that and used no plastic.

Most of the filler is sanded away. This is the correct way. Filler is never supposed to span that much distance in that thickness level. Here it's only filling in some of the lows and the rest is sanded away

He didn't fill it. He smoothed it every car ever will always have body filler on it AKA Bondo. Bondo will always be on every car because you cannot get a car perfectly f****** flat and smooth so to get it perfectly flat and smooth you have to add some Bondo to it to get the slight waves out of the body line because you will never be able to get all of the Waves out of the metal. Before it was filled because there was a dent and there was a lot of filler. After there was no dent and there was barely any filler it was just skimmed on top. A light skim layer. But yes please keep showing and telling us all about your obvious lack of body work or experience with cars at all while believing you are the best and a complete know-it-all.

Not a professional my own self, but this Fix isn't what you'd do to a classic. With a classic; you use led, or get an artistic welder; NOT BONDO. What the guy in the video did was a joke. He just did a better bondo job; which will fall out over time. If he tries to sell it to a guy like me; he'll get angry when I go down it with a magnet and offer him 500$ for it, then inform everyone else he is selling it too. I guarantee that there is more than just one spot filled with bondo.

I used to do a lot of bondo, duraglass, and worked a lot with fiberglass. All the dudes that I worked with there mentioned, whenever you do body work on cars the less bondo you use the better.

@@padavan5427, нет, имею ввиду взять помпу маслобензостойкую (у вюрста такая есть), залить все это дело (я бр-2 использую), промахнуть салфеткой специальной плотной. На худой конец, смочить тряпочку в обезжирке и смахнуть пыль от шпатли. Сжатым воздухом вы поднимите всю пыль в воздух и это не айс (лично мое мнение), и пыль эта может осесть в лёгких если работать без защиты. Берегите здоровье)

I spent my childhood in a bodyshop full of Ferraris, Mercedes and Rolls Royce amongst a myriad of other famous brand, one day the owner's son fumbled a job, his father went ballistic on him and told him he gave him the paint gun too soon and that he would be sanding mastic for the next 10 years😂... The old man kept his words and out of spite the son went and became an employee for Ferrari bodyshop... The old man told my parents his son was an idiot, and that working for Ferrari was a good enough punishment for someone that didnt have good enough work ethic and cut corners instead of doing proper craftmanship😂😂😂and i understood years later when we were invited on their sea front property💰💰💰

NEVER mix body filler on cardboard. I was a regional technical rep for NAPA Auto Parts' paint supply department, and the hardest thing I had to retrain bodymen on was this very issue. The cardboard is porous and will soak up/absorb the resin out of the bondo, making it more brittle. Please people, don't use cardboard!!!!!!!!

Wie man Steine so bearbeiten kann, dass man mörtellos Mauern und Pyramiden bauen kann in Südamerika bei den Inka, mit primitiven Werkzeugen. Das ist wahre Handwerkskunst. The main problem with this is the welding of the screw to the panel it's the wrong tool for the job. Use a stud welder and a slide hammer. welding on panels like that it's easy to warp the panel and burn through if your inexperienced working with it.

So I was with him up until he took a da to the glaze after blocking it. Breaking out that cracked bindi and pulling the dent out so it's within limits is correct though
