I'm 34 and found you while in high school and begged my parents to let me study interior design. Of course they said no so I've worked the last 15 years in accounting. Today I enrolled in interior design school bc of you. I'm addicted to symmetry, scale and quality in a room and I learned from you! Keep on posting!

As a fellow accountant, I am able to pick up a lot from Rebecca as she emphasizes symmetry. Accounting is all about balance, symmetry, and form. I would personally expect that your years in accounting will give you some foundation in design. When I went back to my school for a PhD (in accounting, of course!), that calculus that was so hard when I was an undergraduate, was so much easier. I had just spent 15 years in accounting doing "word problems"! Best wishes for your new adventure.

Hi Rebecca, I’ve grown older with you - fancy that! 😂 I believe you are one of the few people on KZbin, that I have come across, who has explained KZbin algorithms: e.g thumbs up, notifications, ads etc. Due to this I always “like, subscribe and notify” myself for your new posts. I’ve left comments on most of your posts (positive ones) and I’ve even left all your videos playing whilst I’m off doing other things (including ads). It’s my way of reciprocity your generosity over 15 years. Congratulations BTW. PS: When I play your videos I have to wear headphones as you set off my Alexa 😂🤣

Hi there, I have been really enjoying all of your videos. I wanted to share that I spent over a year designing a home that I love that my son wanted to build for us on his property. This was going to be my forever home and we loved the way it turned out with all black trim in lodge style home on 16 acres of property . A year later, because of many conflicts we have decided we need to leave the property and now are pretty devastated to loose my dream home. I am watching your videos now to get inspiration to move on to what I’m afraid will just be a lower level rental for awhile but hoping to be able to turn even that into a beautiful peaceful place for my husband and myself. We love to entertain and want something that is unique.

You agree !!!! I love you. Hugs from carolyn in Columbus ga. I will be 70 in may…..I am like you. I shop my house before I get anything new!

There are a lot of things I don’t care for on KZbin, but I just can’t understand why folks feel like they must say something negative when all they have to do is move on!🤷‍♀️ I for one am thankful for your help in making our homes beautiful. Thank you for your time and effort, I appreciate you and your team!

I think I have been following you for 15 years! Your daughters and sons first place, your daughters marriage and children, home in San Diego and now Tulsa. I can relate to you in many ways as I was a PK and love home design and about the same age. We moved around a lot growing up and my mother always made our house a home even though we never owned a home until I was in high school. 😃We now have homes in Maui and Oregon, which is a dream come true! I have refreshed our Maui home and looking to remodel in Oregon. We too are wondering whether to build or remodel out existing in Oregon. I will be sending you some photos from our Maui and Oregon homes. Planning to have the hour or two with you soon. Much love. ❤

💚 you Rebecca. It's a "surveyors" tripod for mounting a transit. Antique transits built of brass and cast iron are becoming obsolete, so grab the wooden tripods wherever you find them. The wooden boxes the actual transits are kept in are especially well crafted small wooden containers worth using as a tabletop accessory too. Even the transit itself is a curiosity worth displaying if you see the beauty in complicated mechanical items. I had mine on display until I did away with my library wall to avoid the dusting. 😘

Thank you, Rebecca! You are doing a great job. I have been doing interior design for 50 years. I noticed how little was shared by other designers in professional organizations. You share everything. Better than therapy!!!! One of your signatures: white draperies. The white out effect. So clean and wonderful. Especially with your wood/stain window casings. Perfect!

Love your idea of having lamps that can be changed around to freshen up your look. Your book shelves look magazine ready. Me? No. I'm a reader, so my shelves are filled with books I have read. But, I do accent them with family pictures, and little trinkets, here and there, that are special to me. Love your idea about a plant service, and plan to look into it. I don't have an eye for plant placement in the open spaces in an Arizona home. Thanks for shaking up my design ideas.

When I was as a young teenager, I had an interest in interior decorating. I stenciled my closet. I ordered a home study course, but couldn’t get into doing it on my own without classroom instruction. Since then, I continued to have a passion for it my whole life. Now at 72, I call myself a Home Decorator wanna be. Just shows, it’s best to follow your passion as it never goes away. Stick with it. Rebecca, I Iove your tripod lamp! It's unique and handsome. The word you were looking for was surveyor. Surveyors measure land, locate boundaries, make maps, etc. They use those tripods to hold their transits. I have a huge office and the dual desks are up against the longest wall and you see it when you come in. I didn't like the vastness of the huge oriental rug so I purchased two skinny but wide two sided book cases and put them next to each other (they looked like one long custom piece) and it filled the space so nicely. I just want to say I would never have thought of that creativity without your inspiration :) Thank you for these videos, you and your lovely daughter are so talented.

I watch you faithfully and you will be proud of me, after years of watching you and countless hours of video's I finally subscribed...woo hoo, not only do I love what you do I absolutely love your personality! I work full time but my favorite hobby is decorating my home and I also love to find some older pieces to add to each of my room and give it some character. My husband and also try to update one room each year to our house, this year we are updating our main floor bathroom. I think the most import lesson is your home is your biggest investment, invest in updating a room, paint, lighting, etc. it really pays off and when people comment how beautiful our home is we realize it all pays off in the end . Thank you for your wonderful show, your advice and countless beautiful ideas, keep them coming !!!!

I found you at a very challenging time in my life and you would single-handedly get me out of my bed with your videos to straighten up my house, and do the best I can with what I had at the time… still that way even today (chronic illness sufferer )Bless you for this you mean a lot more to us than just design… You’re approachable and well ,just really cool❤
