I remember reading a preview article on this game in a Dutch game magazine called Power Unlimited. The guy who wrote it paid a visit to the developers, and he said that everyone on the dev-team looked like sleep-depraved zombies, and they were completely paranoid to the point where he couldn't even take out his camera without one of them getting upset, as if they were expecting him to pull out a gun.

Now we're lucky to get a "100% complete" game on release that doesn't need a massive patch day 1 or that's online only. Definitely was the Golden Era. Games nowdays are few & far. I don't even read Gaming magazines anymore. You're better off finding some lesser known independent studios stuff. No way would a studio pay for copyrights to a movie nowdays, unless it was a Marvel/DC or Lord of the Rings game. The Warriors from Rockstar was a sweet movie game too

Compared to Halo CE, this is maybe a rung or two below in terms of actual graphical quality, at least to my memory. Most people forget how janky Halo looked because it was so stupid awesome, and we all remember emptying needlers into things and wondering if Cortana was lesbian much better than the fact that Captain Keyes's hands looked like the ones pictured above with a 3/8" width extrusion. Edit: I was born in '97 and wasn't playing shooters until '04, '05, or something like that. It occurs to me that graphics took a big leap right around that time and so I might be speaking from a bit of a skewed, early-zoomer perspective on this.

I would guess the prison escape was probably going to be the first half-a prequel showing how Richie broke Seth out after the robbery. The second half might have been the movie's actual events. And instead of recording new lines, they rearranged what they already had to put together dialogue that matched the new script as well as it could manage. It is not like patent law at all...its a scam that mostly just hyper-commercializes art and creative work of every form For a glimpse into a world without copyright, just look at all the SCP games, videos, stories, etc...as well as "The Backrooms" and all the associated material. But Saul Myers' character model - in the opening cutscene and in-game - only *sorta* looked like the guy, so I assumed it was a coincidence. I own this game (got it for $10 in one of those jewel case re-releases you used to see at Wal-Mart 'round the turn of the millennium), but never got through it. I got to the bit in the gym where you and a bunch of military guys are trying to get through, one of the grunts insisted on stopping in a doorway and refusing to move. Didn't matter how far back I tried going (which wasn't far cuz I'm stupid about relying on a couple of saves), he'd always stop in the same spot. Gave up, walked away. Wish I'd recorded stuff back then, I hit a hysterical problem with mirrors where Seth's reflection would turn the wrong way but the gun was perfect. Best part of the game, really. The thing they forget to tell you about the Stake finisher is it gives you HP back. Which makes no sense what-so-fucking-ever, but there you go. You rarely ever get to use it, since it only works on vampires who are on the ground, not entirely dead, and not turning to dust. This happens probably one out of every hundred of them. I just took to spamming the Stake button and hoping for the best. Guh, dammit, making me want to try this again. I hate being a sucker for pain.

If I remember right, that's called "felony murder", where someone died during the commission of a felony.
@Eightsixseven232245 жыл бұрын
This is irrelevant though considering the news documents multiple murders of police men commited by Seth in the beginning of the movie, Which includes a sheriff and Liquor store owner who he burns alive along with his business. Then again this game seems to think the first hour and half of the movie didn't happen.

Lots of 3D games in the 90s looked good and Half Life is one of them. It just depends on the game, as while early 3D can look good, that doesn't mean bad ones don't exist. Same for 2D, considering the Famicom was the first console not to have graphics that always sucked. Tomb Raider 1-5 all look good, Descent and Freespace look good, Unreal, both System Shocks (moreso the second one), Quake 1, the Dreamcast Sonic games, Burning Rangers and Lego Racers, just to name the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

I don't know if it necessarily looked better but it certainly didn't have as many glaring issues, like the face seams and flat hands. Otherwise this has way more detail than half life, which is to be expected since it came out 5 years later.

I freakin' loved The Devil Inside, not a perfect game but it's a nice little underrated gem.

Thanks for the video, I read about that game (Cryo's games are really something, sadly GOG can't bring them back) and never knew why nobody talked about it anywhere. Also - Devil Inside rlz. Would play it but sadly my source of old (and really obscure) games is gone, thanks Nintendo... "these deathrows lives like kings" - sounds like prisons in Poland, where they have way better food than the hospitals and schools. Way better... These unlimited bullet time moments remind me some Matrix mod for Max Payne, replayed Parking level every day after school for relaxation, good times. Ukraine? Where they made amazing Boling Point which STILL didn't reach Steam?

they made another site but it worked for like what, week, or less?
@SpecShadow6 жыл бұрын
I hope so, I'm checking it every week. Just drop Niny garbage because it's a c&d bait.
@@TheOneAndOnlySame thanks for the source but I managed to find site where they restore some old and obscure games (because early 3D era games are really bitch to run, that include Cryo's games) on Collection Chamber. Oh and new IsoZone returned but they lost some titles because they had moron in charge who sabotaged some stuff inside.

The Devil Inside. Holy Shit! That's a blast from the past that apparently I'm the only person who ever played it. Honestly that game was ahead of it's time it was like RE4 like 5 years before RE4 came out.

I can't find any cast info on IMDB because this game was forgotten by time itself (and no voice actors were named in the credits, I watched it twice to be sure), but the guy playing Seth Geko sounds like David Gasman who was in just about every english localization of a French property under the sun in the early 2000s. He can also be heard in a wealth of Franime and David Cage games
@OrganicSuperlube3 жыл бұрын
I'm a big fan of Gasman's work, and I can confirm without a doubt that that's him. Just compare his line at 19:14 to any line by Cutter Slade from the game Outcast. The cast clearly aren't amateurs that they just picked out from around the development office, so it's very interesting (and frustrating) that the voice actors go completely uncredited.

Help me out here. I could have SWORN that when this game was coming out they made a big deal about how there was an invisible vampire in the shower room that you had to use falling water to locate. But there is no water. Am I going nuts? Did they disable the water and forget to disable the invisible vampire?
